Good catch friend, I didn’t know there was a medic 81 with a mech wail, I thought that was only medic 82 and 80, Villa park Fire department sure is resupplying with fire trucks and ambulances these days, guess they’re trying to do what Chicago does, have so many fire trucks and ambulances that they can be in multiple places at 1 time
The ambulance shown here is Medic 80. It is currently acting as a reserve while Medic 81 is in for maintenance. The department is unfortunately moving away from Carson sirens (the mech wail ones) and is switching over to Whelen for their ambulances. However, Oakbrook Terrace has Carsons on their frontline ambulance and they are known to go “crazy” with the sirens.
