Villa Sorriso or Villa of Smiles was on and off the market for several years at steadily declining prices. The Napa Valley vineyard was home to the late and great comedian/actor Robin Williams and was finally sold for $18.1 million following Williams death in 2014. The comedian was involved in designing and building the semi-remote estate in 2003, situated about 80 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge in the Mayacamas Mountains between the vineyard carpeted Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Originally listed over the summer of 2012 at $35 million before it was taken off the market and re-listed in April 2014, shortly before the Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and Grammy-winning funnyman committed suicide. The property was again listed at a much reduced but in hindsight still excessively rose-tinted $29.9 million. Several more price cuts plunged the asking price to $22.9 million before the property was purchased, for nearly half it’s original asking price by French winemakers Alfred and Melanie Tesseron.

@@truthserum5202 What possible reason might the murder of Robin Williams have occurred.? Too often, the death of a public figure continues to motivate independent theories. But, Williams was known to have difficulties with substance abuse, anxiety and depression. Soon after his death, it was made public that Williams had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, then later that was revised - he had Lewy body dementia. On Sept. 27, his widow, Susan Schneider Williams, published an article called “The terrorist inside my husband’s brain” in the journal Neurology (2016. 87[13]:1308-11). Mrs Williams writes about the joy of their relationship, and she notes that many months before he died, her husband was under the care of doctors for a multitude of symptoms, including gastrointestinal problems, insomnia, and a tremor. His symptoms worsened, and he became plagued by anxiety and panic, memory difficulties, and delusions with paranoia. She describes a change in his personality and a preoccupation with his anxiety, physical failings, and memory problems that interfered with his ability to memorize movie lines. Robin Williams was changing and declining. He was treated with both psychotherapy and psychotropic medications. He went to Stanford for hypnosis to treat his anxiety. He exercised with a physical trainer. In May, he received the Parkinson’s disease diagnosis, and while he was told that it was early and mild, his wife wrote, Robin was growing weary. The parkinsonian mask was ever-present and his voice was weakened. His left-hand tremor was continuous now and he had a slow, shuffling gait. He hated that he could not find the words he wanted in conversations. He would thrash at night and still had terrible insomnia. At times, he would find himself stuck in a frozen stance, unable to move, and frustrated when he came out of it. He was beginning to have trouble with visual and spatial abilities in the way of judging distance and depth. His loss of basic reasoning just added to his growing confusion. Just months later, Robin Williams took his own life. In psychiatry, it is understood, as a product of mental illness: an act borne of the hopelessness of depression or as a way to escape psychic torment. In that sense, it is understandable and preventable: All we need to do is educate people about the symptoms and destigmatize the disorders so that those who have them will seek treatment. Suicide is an epidemic, and tens of thousands of people die this way every year. The figures quoted are that 90% of those who die from suicide suffer from a psychiatric illness, most often a mood disorder. When Williams died in August 2014, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline saw a surge in callers. The loss of a brilliant, energetic, public figure left everyone reeling. Obviously, no one can know what makes anyone, Robin Williams included, was competent to make such a decision, or if his family would have suffered less if he’d lived out his natural life, but the truth is that competent or not, he made a choice and without anyone’s input, he took the action he chose.

@@truthserum5202 As per your own claim suggesting "his wretched wife," "probably made up," suggests that you don't know what is fact or fiction, and essentially creates an awareness of what is your own lack of credibility. That said, what reason might anyone make up anything, for what reason.? It is no secret Williams suffered from bouts of depression, he talked about his struggles. And at the time he had reportedly recently returned from care at a treatment facility. FYI, substance abuse, as well as anxiety and/or depression are NEVER behind you, they are a constant and lifelong reality that requires attention to keep them maintained as is required. Too often, an individual can appear to be "in the best place," but that can, not always, but often be a reaction of their planning. Creating a plan to harm oneself offers some, and possibly the only, resolve they might have ever known that was guaranteed to help them avoid having to have to think or worry about what ails them. Doctors have since suggested Williams was experiencing symptoms related to Lewy body dementia, a progressive degenerative disease. Early on, the symptoms may mimic other diseases, like Alzheimer's if it's just the memory problems, Parkinson's disease, if it's the movement problems, or a psychiatric disease like schizophrenia if it's the hallucinations. It really takes an experienced clinician able to put all the pieces together to come up with the diagnosis. It is the most common disease you have never heard of. It's the second most common cause of memory problems after Alzheimer's disease and affects over 1.3 million Americans. Its predominant symptoms are a progressive change in memory and other thinking functions, signs similar to Parkinson's, so, slow movement, stiffness, balance problems, visual hallucinations.

@@butchlane4609 Williams was struggling to earn enough money to pay his alimony, plus his new wife was lining him up for another hosing.

You left out the fact that Robin had discovered he had a debilitating disease. So sad. I wish he hadn’t gone out like that.
