How are you Kalra Vlogs family ? I hope you may saw in my previous vlog about my how was my first day in Azerbaijan. In that vlog I have shown how Azerbaijan people treated Indian . It was great as I am being hosted by local Azerbaijan people who are very hospitable.
In this new vlog you will see all tourist places of Azerbaijan. This is about Indian exploring Village of Azerbaijan i.e Sheki , Azerbaijan in which I will all the tourist places of Sheki Azerbaijan and show you the beautiful around . In this vlog as i am invited by Landlord’s daughter Azerbaijan girl to her office , I get late in reaching to her by 1.5 hour . I brought to the house by person who lives at rent in a room which is owned by great Azerbaijan family . Even being brought by him Indian is treated being so well by Village Azerbaijan family .
The house of Village Sheki & area around have the red tops above their houses which represents their unique culture . The month of June - July is very great to explore Azerbaijan with the cool temperatures . Baku Azerbaijan is known as city of Air and I feel about there being . Baku Boulevard is a great place to spend your evening in front of wonderful Caspian Sea . In Sheki Azerbaijan they have normal white colour Non AC buses , fare is as same as Baku Azerbaijan which is .40 Azn / 20 INR . I am about to go Khan Sarai Bus stop only at a distance of about 6 kms . In Bus I met one Azerbaijani person whom I told facts about Leh Ladakh .
Ladakh is the only place in whole World which have the title of World’s highest motorable road and also another great fact , Zanskar river in Ladakh is the only place in whole world to do highest river rafting at 12000ft . I went to Ladakh 4 years ago . Village of Azerbaijan Sheki is very green & land is also very fertile . Within 8 - 10 mins we reached to Khan Sarai Bus stop . First of all i have to visit Landlord’s Azerbaijan girl who is waiting for Indian since long time . She works at Tourism centre of Sheki Azerbaijan & also speaks good English.
As I reach there at Azerbaijan girl was quite happy to see me , she directly took me to show area around , whatever cool around her office , first of all Azerbaijan girl took Indian to see the nice Art work being done by local Azerbaijan artist making Art work by wool , I see him while making Portrait of Heydar Aliyev , third president of Azerbaijan . I am so impressed to see this beautiful art work done by him . Later she took me downstairs . I got happy to see such a great quality of Silk being sold here at shops of Sheki Village of Azerbaijan.
In my previous vlog I have explained how important was Sheki Azerbaijan an important stop on ancient Silk Road . Traders from different countries come to Sheki to do trade of beautiful Silk made items and other important items . Sheki around that was very important place and popular in making high quality & high production of silk made items in whole Caucasian region . The Caucasian countries are Azerbaijan, Armenia & Georgia & Caucasus region also covers Southern part .
As you all may know that friendship of Turkey & Azerbaijan is very old & friendship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan which also have good friendship since ages . Azerbaijan & Pakistan enjoys different diplomatic , military powers and have relations in many programmes together.
After few moment I came outside of Sheki Tourist centre , I met few guys accidentally who feed me tea for the first time in the park . Again they asked me for tea . Azerbaijan guy also told Indian how much money people of Azerbaijan makes & less amount of only money can be saved . His salary as 600 Azn / 30000₹ , this amount of Salary is average of Skilled worker here in Azerbaijan. In his family his mother & he both works & could save only 200-300 Azn in a month with a family of five members.
After having good time together I went to see the area around , first of all to see the Sheki Khan’s place also known as summer paradise where Khanate used to come in Winter , this place was not to live for him but just only for officials works . The upper floor was made for the queens and ground for king himself to conduct his official things . It took complete 10 years to make this beautiful palace , 2 years in construction & 8 years for decoration. In whole Sheki Khan’s palace , not a single nail or a drop of glue is used even after lot of work of wood & glasses , after visiting i visited Three Saint’s church also known as Albanian church . I have already visited Caravansarai in episode 11 of Azerbaijan series . I planned to go back while walking, down the road there are many shops to buy clothes , silk products & handicrafts. Also there are few restaurants also serves beer & don’t miss Sheki Halwa when you come here .
