Personalmente credo sia il loro miglior brano, ma oltre questo, quello che mi complisce è l'atmosfera, i trucchi, l'interpretazione e in generale il look diverso dal solito, un capolavoro che poteva essere creato solamente in quel periodo!
I piu belli per me erano simpson (questo cantante) ed il cantante che lo ha preceduto ed entrambi bravissimi....il 🕺 e cantante indio era molto espressivo all'epoca ed il defunto glen(il 🏍)possedeva un look che si distingueva da quello degli altri cantanti e 🕺 americani di allora,e cantava bene da solista
Un certo Man Parrish prese la band Newyorchese nel suo management creando una nuova immagine che li catapultava nel nuovo decennio, gli edonisti 80s, nn a caso l'album dove fu estratto questo pezzo + la stupenda Do you wanna spend the night, aveva su come titolo Renaissance (Rinascita appunto)😉

I think during the early 80s, the makeup and clothing the group wore was called the New Romantics trend. New Romantics period in the 80s was a trend in Europe that was popular.
the change of image of the group, who was their manager at the time, is due to a certain Man Parrish, suggesting a look very close to the British Neo-Romantic movement and a different musical orientation more suited to that new decade
This song and the album that goes with it have no reason to be this good. Yeah it bombed and pretty much killed the Village People but in retrospective...it kinda rules!

Maravilloso tema cantado por el policia que cargo con el Village People Ray Simpson durante casi 40 años, a Victor Willis se le recuerda por Macho Man, Ymca e In the navy, pero Ray es el verdadero cantante lider de la agrupacion, no el Gordo Victor Willis y sus malos cantantes de hoy dia que lo acompañan en sus presentaciones, muy malos.
