Saroya is a village in the tehsil town Balachaur, located in the Sahid Bhagat Singh District of Nagar, Punjab, India.

This video is of exquisite quality. It captures the fancy of the young and old. The graveyard has disappeared and the decayed buildings are on the verge. But it is the soil that matters. Those who belong to it, they are inseparably tied to it. Changes wrought by Time can not affect this relationship.

You say that the much talk about kothi belonged to ch. izzat ali khan whereas others maintain that it was owned by ch.rehmat khan. This enigma need to be unravelled one would like to know the relationship between the two , it might help to understand the correct position .I know it for sure that at the time of partition it was occupied by Rana arshad ,your uncle Regards.

The prominent families of adampur region was Bains family of Alawalpur who killed Alawal khan pathan and captured their estate in 18th century and they were owner of Jallianwala bagh named After Sardar Himmat Singh Bains(Jallewalia) because his estate was also in Jallah Ludhiana their remaining family was feudel of Mahilpur estate of Hoshiarpur BTW where is your family right now? in adampur city or village

I am Dr. Asif from Faisalabad, Pakistan. My grand father Ch. Izzat Ali and his family migrated from Sarao and settled in Okara, a district 150 km from Lahore. He was well known Govt servant and a house known as kothi belonged to him. Most of the migrants from Saroa settled in Shahbaz pur village near Faislabad known as Lyallpur before partition. I have been retired as Professor from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. We are gore bah rajpoot by cast and were called as kothi waley before partition.

According to your statement the much talked about kothi belonged to ch.izzat ali khan whereas others maintain that it was owned by ch.rehmat khan. This conflicting situation requires further information to clear the fogg. Except you will soon enlighten on the subject. Regards

My surname is Saroya. Sikh RAJPUT but we are from Chukhiara near Kathar, Adampur(Doaba). My ancestors fought with Banda Singh Bahadur(Minhas Rajput) and taken over ruling Muslim fort in Chukhiara during uprise of Baba Banda Singh. Other Saroya took over Dehana Fort from Muslims rulers. Since then people call us kille(fort) wale sardar💪 🙏

My father's childhood was spent here in this beautiful village, all old people have since died, no one is alive only very fascinating stories, my maternal & paternal family has been here. I would love to come to Saroya. Please let me if there is a hotel in or near the village or a place like paying guest? It's been a long time desire to visit this place, to commemorate the sweet memories. I'm now 70 years old man, suffering from cancer. Lots of love and respect for you. Regards

Mera pind Dayalan hai. Mein es secondary school de vich pareyan han. Eh school phelan ton hi secondary nahi si. Eh school high school si 10th tak, late 80s de vich eh school secondary school baneya. Sardar Ajit Singh who is looking after the mosque is originally from Dayalan, he is living in Saroya. This is a very nice video it brought back memories of my childhood and teenage days. this is so beautiful. my grandparents and my dad were from Phagwara and Jallandar, then they emigrated to Kushab Jauharabad. they use to tell me lots of stories about partition and their beautiful village and i always imagine myself being there during those days. thanks for sharing this very heart touching moments and videos. its so heart warming and very reminiscing. take care

This loss kept impinging on my keen sensibility and never gave me a moments respite from restlessness. I ask you about the twin cities of kushab - jauharabad for the reason that I have had the pleasant memories of five springs of my life that I spent there and I always cherish yearning fondness for them .

Added to your information that there were more then one person by the name of Ahmed Ali. All of them were highly placed in this society. It is hard to pick the one you are talking about. Surely your grandfather must have a high place in the social standing. I would appreciate if you let us know little more about your illustrious grandfather enabling us to have precise knowledge while recording history we need verified information rather than vague speculations.

Your assertion that the Rajputs of GarhShankar provided help to the Rajputs of the Saroa during the period of turmoil, with due respect, it is nothing but an after-dinner jest manufactured for the amusement of children. It has nothing to do with reality, at best an idle boasting. History entertains only those claims which are supported by solid evidence, off-springs of vanity are outrightly dismissed.

As per my elders, Saroya pind ich 4 brothers (Ghorewaha Rajput) wasday segay followed by their generations, most of them migrated to Pind 60 chak Jhang Branch (SHAH-BAZPUR) Faisalabad, Pakistan. We are sill recognized as “Saroyiay” which is a great honour for us and will always keep us connected to the soil of Pind Saroya!

Be it katas raj temple or sadhu because temple of Hindus or gurdwaras of Sikhs.SGPC Pakistan 🇵🇰 is known for samb sewa of gurdwaras in Pakistan. Kartar pur gurdwara biggest in the world has constructed by us.
