Village Weaver (Ploceus cucullatus) Bird Call & Video | Spotted-backed Weaver
The Village Weaver (Ploceus cucullatus), previously known as the Spotted-backed Weaver, is one of the more common Weaver species found in the Kruger National Park. They love water, and generally breed above or close to a water source. The male Village Weaver is a master of it's craft, building amazing nests, and often been teared down by the female if she does not think it is the right fit. It is a hard job.
