Thank you for these tutorials, Javi! I picked this game a couple of months ago and I've slowly but surely gravitated towards this character. Having these kind of educational videos surely does help me improve! This is insane.
an important thing is knowing if the opponent has a move that is 'transcendent'-that is one that cannot clank projectiles. Roy upb for example is transcendent and so dash attack, watering can, and fair/bair all poke during hitbox frames.
i'd recommend trying to go around/above it kind of like falcon does in this video. ideally you can land behind villager and take a smaller punish or fall to ledge after the bowling ball is released
@@javionearth Unfortunately Bowser can't drift like Falcon, so I've already tried to time my recoveries but to no avail. The only reward for going over Villager will be a Throw-back off stage again or a Down-Smash into Forward-Smash because of my awful landing lag haha I've heard that I can hit the bowling ball but I've never done it yet and I don't know if it'll allow me to come back safely
