I don't know how I never watched this video before, I love it! Although I personally prefer the acoustic version of this song, but the video is beautiful. VILLAGERS ARE ONE OF THE BEST! :D

This song was on Phantom 105,2 in Ireland at the time, it reminds me of the few years I spent there. Wonderful song

Was watching this on television and it struck me that this song is about cults. The video is full of earnest looking beautiful people looking off into an imaginary beyond, the lyrics are suggestive of brainwashing, and heck, it's called "Ship of Promises", which from my experience is pretty much what cults are. Please let me know if you feel me on this, or whether another explanation has been given officially. cheerio!

@sunshallsee It's how I got to know him as well. He supported Wild Beasts last year and played every song solo. You could hear a pin drop in the venue between the notes and everyone was absolutely flabbergasted.
