Davy Jones' and Thanos' themes have so much pain and sadness behind them. Some of the themes are sinister and some ae powerful, but they don't have the same emotion behind them.
Magneto’s is similar. His has just as much emotion as both of theirs. Though his theme doesn’t necessarily sound sad. His theme is the theme of revenge.
I love that you used the ORIGINAL Voldemort theme. Why this wasn't carried through all the Harry Potter movies right till the very end still breaks my heart. Never not use a theme John Williams has composed for you filmmakers, it's sacrilege!
Voldemort: Well done, Samuel. Well done. Kylo Ren: Show me again; the power of the pianist, and I will let nothing stand in our way. Sauron: Build me a melody worthy of Mordor. Davy Jones: My theme is cool. Why should the piano be any different? Joker: This is what happens when a cool theme song meets a skilled pianist. Magneto: Have you ever looked at a piano and thought you ought to cover it up? Emperor Palpatine: Use your aggressive feelings, boy. Let the music flow through you. Thanos: Music isn't something one considers when balancing the universe, but this... does put a smile on my face. Darth Vader: Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of a finely tuned piano. If you read this while imitating the voices of the villains, give yourself a thumbs up.
God I love Thanos' theme so much. Like the villain himself, it's deep, quiet, and solemn, but that doesn't make it any less scary. In fact, it makes him that much more unnerving. He does not get angry. He does not rage against his enemies. He takes them head on, calmly, efficiently, and with composure. He might just be the most cunning villain in cinematic history, because he didn't just win. He broke the heroes, something very few villains have ever managed to do. He turned a god into a weeping babe. He is even worse than Joker. He is the worst type of insane: the type that thinks he's doing good work.
I agree, though I can't say it has the epicnes of Kylo/Vader/ Joker or the Sorrow of Davi Johnes or Thanose. If I had to sum it up, Palpatine's is evil incarnate (as George meant him to be) ,you feel only a relentless scenes of doom and uneasiness.
•Voldemort: "There is no good and evil, there is only power, and those too weak to seek it." •Kylo Ren: "I will finish, what you started." •Sauron: "There is no life in the void. Only death!" •Davy Jones: "Life is Cruel! Why should the afterlife be any different?" •Palpatine: "Everything is proceeding, as I have foreseen." •Joker: "If you're good at something, never do it for free!" •Magneto: "Let's just say I'm Frankenstein's monster." •Thanos: "I am... Inevitable." •Darth Vader: "I find your lack of faith Disturbing!"
I can recommend a channel called 'Amosdoll Music', has over 3000 easy piano tutorials, including the Davy Jones theme and the Pirates of the Caribbean theme, both of which are not too difficult thanks to his videos
IDK, these are VERY popular characters. Everyone knows Voldemort, LotR is debatably the best known fantasy series of all time, Thanos was the main villain of the highest grossing movie ever...
i love that he doesn't change color for the left and right hand cause we could do whatever is comfortable without feeling guilty that it was meant to be played a certain way
@@sneezy484 Sauron is literally a lesser god who helped form the universe and was second is command of the greatest being in their universe outside of capital G God. Sauron in his true form would turn anyone on this list save maybe Vader and Palpatine into a stain under his boot very easily
Someone posted this on the non Synthesia version of this piece, so I’m gonna make my own version of what they said: Voldemort: Fear Kylo Ren: Anger Sauron: Domination Davy Jones: Heartbreak The Joker: Chaos Magneto: Revenge Emperor Palpatine: **Unlimited** Power Thanos: Balance Darth Vader: Superiority
Voldemort: I am Lord Voldemort Kylo Ren: I’m being torn apart Sauron: *angry tower noises* Davy Jones: I am the sea The Joker: I’m like a dog chasing cars Magneto: I’m Frankenstein’s monster Palpatine: I am the senate Thanos: I am inevitable Darth Vader: I am your father
Hey Samuel Fu, would you consider doing the "trailer music" of The Dark Knight (2008)? You have most of it in Joker's Theme at 3:00 and it sounds really good on piano.
Davy Jones: a sea monster who owns a ghost ship. Voldemort: a dark wizard who pushed the boundaries of magic and became immortal for a little while. Sauron: the most powerful and trusted servant of Morgoth and Sauron took over middle earth not once but twice. Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader: two space dark lords who took over an entire galaxy. Thanos: a godlike alien titan from space who erased half of the universe with just a snap.
