I don't get why you guys don't like Ursula, she can win pretty easily, it just requires you to churn through her deck as quickly as possible to find the 2 items you need to play. You can play the Crown directly to Ursula's lair, then the Trident to the next space over so that King Triton is there, then bind him with the Contract for Ursula's lair, move him over one space, and boom, done. I really enjoy playing her personally, I think you guys should just get some practice with her and you'd warm up to her more. Just do everything you can to discard as many cards as possible to try to get the Crown and Trident, and if either of them end up discarded you use Opportunist to get them. And killing with contracts rather than Vanquishing is actually really nice because if you think about it, Contracts require playing a card and spending 2 power, but vanquishing for all other villains requires playing as many allies as you need which can easily be more than just 1 card, and spending however much power to play all those allies. So the contracts may seem weird and different, but they're actually better. Combined with an eel it makes vanquishing heroes a breeze. Personally, I tend to leave The Palace location locked and never use it, though you can use the Grow Giant card to tap a button over there if you need to, like the one that lets you move heroes if you have no eels in play. I do think she would grow on you though if you gave her more of a chance. :)
I enjoyed this video sooo much. My heart goes out to Jamie for not doing so well in your favourite game. But, kudos to Jeff for being a fantastic partner and spending the whole day playing the game you love.
Hello Foster the meeple…. I know, I know this is an older video but I have to say I’ve watched this now many times since last year, and this made me take the plunge and buy villainous. My daughter and I adore this and we are now only missing the bigger and badder expansion. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!

My roomie just bought me Villainous (the OG) and I've never played it before, so I'm a bit behind but I LOVE!!!! it! I was shocked, though you've expressed your love SO much...I was still so surprised how much I loved it! It's way more crunchy and challenging than I expected! I can't wait to play more of these!!!

some notes on the evil queen vs dr facilier game.. jamie could have played both of her conditions cards and got 2 poison at the end if she wanted, its allowed. unless there were no masked spirits in the fortune pile, always draw out the full amount, even if rule new Orleans is pulled. A masked spirit card would negate the win. I cant tell you how many times these two scenarios have changed the game outcome for us playing. hope you had fun!

This was so fun to watch! I've yet to play Villainous but absolutely plan to in my near future as a disnerd. Tangled is my all time fave movie so I'm bummed to hear Mother Gothel wasn't a love, but, well, probably better that Jeff didn't fall to her ways 😉 Great video and work you guys!
This video was really fun & makes me look forward to the day we start playing Villainous. As to the win loss ratio that seems to be the way it goes, you can have a 99% win ratio but lay something like loser does dishes & it is nothing but bad luck. I've been there, done that, & enjoyed a cookie & glass of milk between sinkfuls.
Omigosh! This video was fantastic! When we play Villainous, my wife reminds me it's 50% luck. (But she has 90% of the luck.) Why not redraft with the pool of winning villains and keep playing single elimination?! Then you can determine which villain is really #1! And yes, I would watch that series in full. At normal speed. Because you guys are the most fun. The one good thing about Jamie's unlucky streak was the chance it gave Jeff to be a sweet man and console her. That hug was the apex moment of a great video. 100% Awwww!
@@TheHannahJ1994 It would be really great for us to watch! Right?! On the other hand, it would be days and days of work for Jamie and Jeff so I'm sure we'd understand if they're sick of Villainous for a while and want to do other things.
We might do something like this in the future for sure, but this section alone took 10 hours of playtime, and days of editing effort, so you kind of nailed it there haha.

During the lady Tremaine match Jaq the mouse was played to the ballroom. In the rules it says, "Only 4 characters can be played or moved to the ballroom, the prince, played there immediately when revealed, ball gown cinderella, ballgown drizella and ballgown anastasia. So you would have won earlier.
if you havent yet, try out The Goonies Never Say Die game. there are 9 different adventures to play through and its super fun! If you play with only 2 people, one person will play two or more goonies and one will GM. id love to see a marathon of that game!
Greate video, you both have a really funny energy. I would have prefered full games tho. In march there will be a new box, cant wait to see a new tournament with it added to the mix.

We just found your channel and are loving your content! Villainous is my 14 year old daughters favorite game and we decided to do the tournament this past weekend. She killed it winning 7 out of 9. I wander if they’ll make more Disney Movie Villainous instead of just Marvel now. Don’t get me wrong, I love Marvel but there’s still many characters I want for Disney villains! Like Shan Yu, Oogie Boogy, Clayton and many more from Disney Pixar *which for some reason they haven’t done* I would LOVE to have Zerg in the game!
I got Villainous for Christmas (main game) and have played a few times and love it! I love watching your tournament video. 😍 You two are enjoyable to watch and love the competitiveness. I can't imagine playing this game for as long as you did - 10 hours was it? 🤪 I'd love to see more! 🤩 Would it be too archaic to suggest a guys vs girl tournament series? I see there are 10 guy villains and 8 girl villains - 2 guys would have to be dropped. I think it could be fun to watch - just don't play it for 10 hours straight! 😂
Really good topic and format. There were some really close matches so I empathize with the loses. We mostly play 4 or 5 player matches and I'm struggling to get my wife to play 2 player games. So far only my son and I played the Horned King (once each) and we both got hammered with Fates late in the game and basically sent back to Square1. I liked the character but it just seems too challenging at higher player counts when frequently hit by Fates. I'm wondering if Jeff's view will change after a lot more plays. Still, it's a fun deck to play. It seems that the recent productions have lower quality player boards where the warping is especially bad. After seeing Gaston tear I won't be bending mine to straighten them. My Top3 favorites to play (in no specific order) are Pete, Hook, & Evil Queen.
I definitely noticed the board quality on the newest edition being a bit worse. Thought it might have just been me though. Yea my opinion on horned king will likely change with more plays, Jamie didn’t fate me as much as normal and I can see him being difficult to bounce back from.

I think you should get a default win for the Lady Tremayne win even earlier. Jeff played Jaq to the Ballroom and he's not allowed to do that. Only the Ballgound ladies or The Prince can ever be there. In fact, that should count as 4 Disqualified wins because of this.
I don’t get the Ursula hate! I know people really struggle with her but I don’t think she’s that bad; I’ve won with her 1v1 several times. Hades is much harder in my opinion. His fates are brutal and getting the titans to where they need to be is harder than need be. Gothel is another hard one but she’s personally one I enjoy playing because there is a lot of strategy with her and, with another one of the harder villains, it’s a much more even game. I really want to do a long tournament like this but I feel like I’ll have horrible luck like Jaime haha.
I have a question about Mother Gothel. She has a fate card called Aging this card can take an Ally or an Item of 2 cost or less from her realm. If she has the Royal Guard or Royal Rider in her kingdom and the Knife card is in one of them, the enemy villain who used fate and took the Aging card can take away the ally and the item that is equipped on it or just the item or just the ally ? Can you tell ?

Correct - only the princesses and Prince can enter the ballroom. Marvel villainous just added a mechanic we didn’t love (event cards) but we are going to try it again in the future!

It has Jafar which is one of my favourite villains to play and my favourite Disney movie!
