The monster he's speaking of is addiction, he's not bashing his old friend. He's simply saying he hopes Bam gets help and support. The title took a very classy and compassionate statement and twisted it for views.
Also the title says "turning into a monster" while he literally says "turning into THE monster (that he's turning into)". If they used the actual word, then they'd have to use the full, real quote, which would make it harder for them to twist it. That's so fcked especially the circumstances
No he's not lmao Bam is fucking up even when sober. It's 100% okay to acknowledge that someone is becoming a monster and needs help. Addiction is only one of the aspects turning Bam a monster right now. That doesn't mean Ville is just talking shit or "bashing him" lol

Yea except his family did in fact frame him before to stick him into involuntary treatmentfor almost 2 years straight while living off his money like hes britney spears. Unfortunately bam has a drinking problem however hes also being targeted because hes in a vulnerable position

Don't contort this man's perfect synopsis of the situation for clickbait. He did not say "He is a monster". He said "he's turning into 'the' monster" that is an extremely important distinction. He meant Bam is in the throes of full blown addiction and anyone truly familiar with it has the capacity to both realize and distinguish between the true self and the shadow self. That is the Jekyl and Hyde of active addiction.
He did say he's turning into a monster though. It's a quote. You clicked and expected something else said in a different way based on how you read the quote.
“Monster” was by no means a condescension. Ville has been where Bam is and had turned into a monster HIMself for a season of his life. He can relate to Bam’s struggle. People are twisting this out of context.
Idk Bam that well and I barely know anything about HIM (that “wings of a butterfly” song that was popular when I was in high school and the heartogram logo are pretty much all I can remember), but as an addict I think it’s pretty obvious that he’s using the term from a place of love, plus I’d think the context of the rest of the video would make it a bit more obvious that he’s not trying to be derogatory or overly critical towards Bam.

Bam pushed him away with all bams bs while Valo was getting sober. Bam feels betrayed by everyone while he raps with busted chick's in a crack house. He doesn't want help. It's everyone else's fault and he won't let Ryan's death go.

That’s the funny thing about voids…. They just get deeper and deeper when in active addiction. It’s the cycle of hell… he could be lonely (we know he’s forever devastated over Dunn’s passing) but he’s actively desecrating relationships, pushing anyone and everyone away (from his paranoia, anger, situational hatred, etc) thus the void expands and the drugs ingested ten fold.
@@dr2599 Oh god, I know exactly what you mean, and you’re spot on about the twisted romance of destruction/death. I mean, I think the romanticization of death during addiction is perfectly understandable, so I get why I felt the way I did at that time and I don’t feel ‘bad’ or ashamed about it, but it definitely makes me cringe to think about now - and I don’t say cringe to mean “makes me feel embarrassed” but more like “makes my skin crawl.” And yeah, I also have a really hard time listening to some of the music that I listened to then, for essentially the same reason I just mentioned. It’s somewhat ironic, because it’s the music that quite literally kept me alive - I mean it was truly the only thing that preserved what little will to live I had left - and now it just brings back all those feelings of cold, empty, darkness that I never want to experience again.
Issue is, Bam is blaming everyone for his issues. April even blamed Ville for Bam’s Issues. Bam likely won’t hear the words, except “monster,” which would be out of context.
His own idol is out here giving advice wanting to see him better, we all want you better bam you are great you aren’t the only person who has these issues just power threw them :)
His family dont care, they are trying to force him into a conservatorship with Aura, who have a bad rep. HES been sober for a year, he cant have a phone as they track him constantly.
Ville is aging in reverse! Getting off the booze & the cigs & getting his mental state in check has done wonders! His new solo album is amazing as well!
Not to be a contrarian, but he looks like the Thin White Duke Bowie and he wasn't healthy at all at that point. I'm sure Ville is 100x healthier than Bowie was at that time, but he has that same pale and gaunt look
That is one good looking dude, from one dude to another. Bam really looked up to this guy and his band had a huge influence on Bam. Kind caring person who wants the best for Bam
Words of truth from Ville. He understands what's important in life - family, love and creating beautiful, meaningful things. It takes guts to openly say the truth and Ville nailed it, calling Bam a "monster". I can only imagine the pain he's gone through after losing Ryan, his best friend but enough is enough. He can't blame everyone for his situation...So many people have offered their help, family, friends, even some skaters from Italy but he stands by his means...Hope he will triumph after all.

It's wild to see the complete flip in Novak and Margera's stories. Goes to show that incredibly terrible situations can become better, and seemingly great situations can go awry in no time a'tall.
That's what I always tell people who talk down on addicts/homeless/down-and-outs... You're only one bad situation/choice from being where that person is. We are all human and have struggled at some point. Some peoples struggles was worse than others. That's all.
Novak is a major liar though. He might be clean but the majority of what he says is complete bullshit. Like he was never a pro skater, he was never on Viva la Bam as a permanent cast member he was just there for the actual cast to beat up and make fun of.
Ville is such a beautiful soul. I'm really hoping he returns again to Seattle or the West Coast sooner than later. I missed this recent show by one day. One of the most special voices on the planet. More songs please 😅
The only man who has a severe drinking problem but came out even more beautiful after he quit drinking. Bam thought he could drink to the same extreme as Ville and come out the same. Lol
I think the world of skating misses Bam so much. But I also know his family misses him as well. If he comes back sober, he’ll be an icon in a way he never understood was possible

@jason m. it's not just because he's an addict.Thats a personal issue and I'm sure he's working on that.he knows he has issues with substance abuse and he is working on it. I'm proud of him for reaching out to get help,it's not an easy thing to ask for ya know.

Speaking to Ville is probably really hard for Bam. I'm assuming he probably feels shame and is afraid to speak with him. I've gone down a path to hell and required a lot of healing. I don't know either of them, I met Bam a long time ago while skating and we discussed the tricks we were trying, but you can see from this that he has a lot of support. I hope he realizes how much support he has around him. I may have talked shit about my own friends, but I also found out they stole from me and took advantage of me. Like come on Bam, I'm a dude with no friends, I'm broke, and I still changed things.
Funny that you all believe what Bam said that his issues are Villes fault. Well, Bam was never a person who had to take accountability for their behavior so it‘s always easier to blame others when their shit goes sideways. There was a lot of shit going down in the beginning of their friendhip in Helsinki that a lot of people (me including) weren‘t fond of Bam. They became poison for each other. I‘m glad that they don‘t hang out anymore and that Ville got hold of his issues.
