Good presentation :) Just a quick note... I think what you're referring to as command are actually operators (operators and commands are different in VIm).
[Neo]Vim is great editor, but there are not so many concepts to learn there. After you understand them, the only improvement you can do - practice. And that exactly what people looking for - smart ways of using vim. What I see in this video is really boring introduction in vim, and no tips of so ever. The only zzzZZZzzz this speaker deserve!
This presentation is obviously a demo of the power of Vim. These demos are to get people who are considering Vim to try Vim. It's not meant to improve an intermediate user. I wouldn't even consider an introduction for beginners. It's meant to spark interest, and I'd say the speaker did a good job of that.
