Kalen, Dave, ANYBODY. Please push for the album to be released. Us fans have always been waiting. I'll keep waiting. Open Your Omen NEEDS TO BE RELEASED. It's been 9 years since you guys recorded it. Please get it out there.
@@jordanstorm7684 I asked Kalen personally if there was any chance if this would ever be released and the sad truth is I got no response. I suspect it is in permanent legal limbo. Terrible shame.
@ConditionsCloudy I messaged Kalen through Facebook in January and I got a reply saying he's trying for this year. I messaged back asking how it's going in April and I never got a reply, so hopefully that's a good sign.
@@CalebArmstrongMusic Hopefully, have you tried the joey jordison family page? I believe his sister runs it, but perhaps they know some stuff we don’t.
(Edit) - R.I.P. Joey Jordison and thank you for all your music. Such a masterpiece of a song. No doubt about it, Joey was an excellent drummer with Kalen Chase on vocals and a collaboration with Dave Mustaine on guitars. All these elements combined are perfect. I always wanted a full album from Vimic. I knew they were working on the process of an album called ‘Open Your Omen,’ but I don’t know why they didn’t release it. Anyway, this is a beautiful song and a perfect combination of some melodic and dark ambient music.🏚
not only did Joey Die but Kato died to which halted the album he was producing it with Joey, but a full album of music was finished sadly we may never get to hear the full album.but hopefully 1 day we will
@@dynamo4543 I hope so too. I'm sure it has great songs on there. Thank you for the explanation... I didn't know the producer died. Thanks for the info!!
@@AlfonsoDGOfficial The album was also remixed in 2017, giving the current mix you hear on this song. Steve Marshall tracked guitars as Kris Norris had left, and the drums was improved a ton. It's a shame it's not out yet, but one day, one day we may get it..
@@nordmannenfrank6066 I hopefully we get some new unreleased songs or something... Cause it was a really good idea, imo it's like the second part of Scar The Martyr. Thanks by the way for the great info dude and the comment!!! Love it!!! 🙌
@@AlfonsoDGOfficial Always a pleasure, Vimic has been passion music since 2016, Kyle Konkiel, the former bassist has said he doubts it will come out but he left the band in 2018 for Bad Wolves, there are some interviews out there with Kalen Chase in 2022 where he talked about the state of it, Kyle has done 1 or 2 podcasts about the issues in the band being a lot of waiting time, and Kris Norris did an interview back in 2018 or 2019. I'd check it out if you haven't, they are some interesting listens. What i find interesting is that none of the current members has removed the vimicmusic tag on instagram in their bios after all this time. So it means it's not 100% dead, but it will never make new music
I hope so, I really do. Because they said that before with 2018 and I think the first song they released was back in like 2016.. its been a long wait -_- but like I said, that's fine because they are in others bands and I appreciate that.
I really love this band. I love the groove. I'm very thankful for Joey's talent that inspires many. It helps me also when I'm sad and hurt in this world. You are foreverly missed Joey. We love you.
In the time it's taken Vimic to release four songs, Joey's "side project" Sinsaenum has released a 21-23 track (depending on deluxe edition) album and an EP. Maybe it's because Sinsaenum knows exactly what they want to sound like while Vimic are still balancing out where they want to be, but the impatience for a full album is growing.
Philip Whitehead Honestly i have lost my patience. So Joey has been absent since the sinsaenum tour in 2018, kalen is doing his own solo project, Steve and jed is not doing anything special, well jed was supposed to work on his New project Inmonolith but i think he had to have shoulder surgery so he quit inmonolith. I have no idea what matt is up to but kyle has left and is doing great with Bad wolves. A bit annoying that the album was announced back in 2016, a lot of hype was building out but then kyle leaves, and Sinsaenum releases their second LP and the starts their first evner tour. After that all we hear is that Vimic is on an indefinite hiatus. Well we can hope for a 2021 release.
@@nordmannenfrank6066 joey was absent since 2018? then passed in 2021, i guess we can gather why he was absent for 3 yrs? maybe the song title is a hint?
@@no.n403 In the 911 call his ex amanda mentioned he was a really bad alchololic. I have an idea that he became depressed in this time of absence, and started drinking more as well, I think the events that had occured the past years really took a toll on him which lead to that and Joey and Amanda broke up in 2020, so that was most likely hard on him as well. If you have checked out the Joey Jordison family page on instagram they have some links to donation pages, one of them is Music Minds Matter so it could be that he had depression in his last years as a results of his exit from slipknot, Label issues with Vimic and his wish to reunite with slipknot some day slowly took it's toll, but what's sad is that he was doing stuff behind the scenes shortly before he passed away. He was starting up Vented, the band has Sean Zatorksy from sinsaenum, and other members from Devildriver and Omega Diatribe and Sinsaenum was starting to write their third LP, and they planning to record some stuff in the future as well as something that surfaced now recently actually, The joey cat shirts that he and a man called Oscar Martinez had designed in 2020, where the funds would go to two animal shelters. The Vimic songs probably has some stories that will reveal some stuff, i think i've read it in some interviews over the years but hopefully the label will come around to release it sometime in the future, but in the meantime there could come other exiting things as a book that Joey was writing in 2018, it could be finished and only missing slight details but it's nothing to speculate on.
Me encanta esta canción. Apenas la escuche la primera vez me enamoré. Estoy deseando que salga el album a la venta. Nunca fue tan rapido que me gusto una cancion. De una. Se la venía guardando Joey. Se detapó.
Open your eyes Now My temple, my tabernacle, bled around me Stained glass, once beautiful Broke to pieces, strewn around me Screaming, I'm singing from my altar of illusion I'd rather be a martyr than a soul without a cause Curse my temple A house of worship You're still praying A movement broken And if my eyes they fail me like you do I would gouge them out And if my tongue it fails me like you do I would cut it out Curse my temple A house of worship You're still praying A movement broken Open sores Hypocrisy Righteous whores They watch my halo and me And if my eyes they fail me like you do I would gouge them out And if my tongue it fails me like you do I would cut it out Now it's time Gouge out your I don't dare Does it work on you? My eyes You will fail me Faithless, left me Curse your glass eyes My temple My temple, dead around me Now I've got the image I lost And if my eyes they fail me like you do I would gouge them out And if my tongue it fails me like you do I would cut it out And if my eyes they fail me like you do I would gouge them out And if my tongue it fails me like you do I would cut it out
Anyone reckon these guys are actually gonna release an album? I know they've got a title (Open Your Omens) but I'm beginning to wonder if it's anything more then a title.
ya sounds exactly like him in a good way though he obviously likes Chesters style. I want to sound like Ronnie James Dio but it's next to impossible to sound like Dio or rather really difficult.
You telling me that Slipknot havn't changed? LOL. I don't like them anymore, they have lost that feeling they had when Joey n Paul were in the band. Plus Corey is a bellend now. They should just quit or get Joey back in
Cookielordking TV dude joey was the best musician in the group he made u grove with the songs , he was the reason that we kept headbanging listening to slipknot , over all he is a better drummer and even a better drummer for slipknot , jay is good af but joey is still superior , i didn't feel their last album that much , i listened to slipknot's all hope is gone for 5 years do u understand that ? but gray chapter took me 3 weeks to get over so come on now
Totally agree dude. He was one of the original members as you will know. Same with Paul, when he died they lost a lot of influence, now Joey has gone it's enough for me. They ain't the Slipknot i know. If Joey were to come back he would make a huge difference and i'd would probably love them again lol
Fuck!? Some people need to learn a thing or two before making such uneducated statements. First, jay is an embarrassment compared to joey. As a musician and a drummer. Not to mention joeys stage presence compared to jay wank-berg. And hate to break this to those who don't know, joey not only wrote all drums. But most of the riffs, structures and was a massive part in how the songs were put together and "polished" into what we USED to cherish as powerful, beautiful and fuckin brutal SlipKnoT songs. You know what. Slipknot don't deserve joey. To kick someone out for an illness that wasn't his choice or fault. Pfft. No Paul + no joey = no Slipknot. Simple. R.I.p Paul and fuckin keep smashing out the vimic tunes joey. \M/
Dave did sing idiot. He doesn't growl like he used to anymore😢. But those big chunky riffs are his in the background. Amazing still staying current Dave Mustaine
No idea. the harsh vocals sound good, then there's a melodic chorus with clean vocals that are never enjoyable. It sucks when the beast screaming at you suddenly sounds like a whiny emo kid
Yeah it's not the most original sounding. Jed Simon, formerly of Strapping Young Lad plays on this, he's an incredible guitarist with great riffs but the melodic bits are just bad
Mono? Not hearing the same thing you are man. You do realize that these first versions may be the dry initial mix so if it sounds like it's in mono to you I'm guessing thats why.
@@syneiro5497 I like Vimic, but don't exaggerate linkin park has many songs and many albums and vimic has not released any album yet, your comparison and your comment is very stupid chester is a better vocalist
Scar Symmetry...Holographic Universe...what a fucking album!! Almost does sound the same however Per Nillssen shits all over Dave Mustane any day of the week ending in Y and doesn't have to be Toki Wartooths "frenemey" to do it!!!
Typical, unoriginal sound and boring style. This type of sound and style was thoroughly covered by the Swedes throughout the 90's, but they did it with far more class. Both Megadeth and Metallica are no exception either. There are literally tens of groups from Scandinavia that totally wipe the floor with "the big four" marketing machine.
@Necrotic Reaper For starters, almost any early Meshuggah is closer to Metalcore than anything else.. and don't give me any of that crap about 'Djent' because the main verse riff in this song sounds exactly like Meshuggah, even the singer is almost dead on.
+Shadow Only partially correct, they would be closer to a portion of the newer bands. The 'Djent' riff adopted from Meshuggah didn't trend in the scene till the 2010's and Metalcore has existed since 1990. Also I have to disagree, the main riff doesn't sound at all like Meshuggah's signature style. It's chugging, and if anything it sounds like early Slipknot with lower tuning. As for the vocalist, a lot of them sound like that when they use fry screaming.
