I would love to see you design a campaign. Say, 10 missions, in a war. 5 defensive missions and 5 offensive missions. Each side has 500 aircraft for all 10 missions and if you burn through too many, you don't get to fly in the later missions. Make everyone really careful about their lives and planes. At the end, total up wins and losses of missions and of ships and aircraft to determine if you win or lose.
Damp was far too effective for far too long. I was cursing him repeatedly for being too darned effective. I fear I was exceedingly impolite. Sorry Damp. Mind you my language was pretty flowery regarding the Maverick missiles inability to lock and hit a target. Well you know it's been a good one when 94 minutes seems to be over too soon. All I will say is get a single SSN actually working in game and that Russian Fleet would be in trouble. Problem then is the battle would be over in 45 minutes. Still it's a win.
The Antishipping missile in DCS are either super op or complete crap. It is just how it is with out a central core weapons module that has every weapon in it.

I noticed with any battle game the Russian ships will take out all incoming missles. If DCS has a platform that has torpedo carrying aircraft torpedos would be a better way to takeout Russian ships.The anti missile defence is very good.
Not this year. Kuznetsov and Nahimov is in overhaul, Peter the Great is in need for overhaul and upgrades also. So for a next few years at least, we wont see anything impressive in the Russian Navy, regarding surface combatants. A large number of small new corvettes and frigates, some number of old Soviet Destroyers and very few cruisers in desperate need for systems and weapons upgrades, and one nuclear powered battlecruiser. There is a much better chance to see something like that in China-Taiwan.
I remember defender video game. And was alive before all video games. My hand built computer 7 years ago probably couldn't run this crap. What is needed in video card ram and CPU?
Just goes to show how much effort and progress ED has made to produce a capable product, I can't imagine a mission of this scale being possible a couple of years ago.
Would it make any sense to also fire other types of missiles towards the fleet, just to try and spoof their defences? Would an air-to-air missile be classed as a threat to the defending radar systems?
Why couldn’t you have done a 25v25 since you have an effective amount of player because what you did wasted tax payer money you didn’t sink the fleet on the first occasion so you lost 🤣🤣
This might not be 100% accurate but it wouldn’t be easy at all to beat russians. Russia might not be what it used to be during Soviet times but they are still capable.
if that fleet was used in the Taiwan simulation the Chinese would have never gotten any hits on them , that Russian fleet is 5 times better than the US fleet in this game at defense at least
