Shows how much love he has for Toronto for choosing to go into the hall of fame as a Raptor. First guy to go into the HoF as a Raptor. Thanks for igniting the NBA flame in Toronto and Canada
Being from Toronto we had a love hate relationship. In the end thank you for putting Toronto on the map. You saved basketball in Toronto. Half man half amazing.Air Canada
I remember being at the Vince Carter camp in Toronto when I was 11 years old. We played a game of bump and he was shooting behind me. I told him he's not getting me out. I shot the ball it missed, he shot he swished and right after he scored he looked at me and said ... BYEBYE 😂😂. He didn't care that I was 11. You mean so much to us Vince. Thank you
I'm surprised he didn't say "IT"S OVER." at the end of his speech. :D VC is such an inspiration to me when I watched him as a high schooler. His creativity sets him apart, and I always admire his drive to not only win, but to entertain; to get you on your feet and say "What did he just do?!". Later on, his endurance and wisdom, which we all know, is Godly wisdom, it made sense why he is as humble as he is. I'm touched by his speech. Here I am, a 40 year-old man, with an injured arm due to overwork and stress, had to quit my job and figure out what to do next so I could put food on the table and roof above our heads. I've dropped out of colleges, ran out of financial aid, had my hands on so many various type of jobs, but my first love is still music. I've always wanted to create and have a music career, so I can bring joy to people around me first and foremost. As VC"s perseverance shows, it's not over when people say we're over the hill. Thank you Vince! Sincerely, -red.
So happy for both Tmac and VC. Being from Toronto and watching these two as a 10 year old to now seeing both of them in the HOF. What could of been, should have been. Top 5 most skilled and smoothest basketball players ever. Much love to Tmac and Vince
Thank you Vince, inspiring me and giving me that headband against Portland back in 2012. still agure your greatness today, Biggest fan in Portland Oregon, wear 15 today cause of you 👏🏾 congrats on a amazing career
can't believe the day has come VC, man you were the reason I fell in love with ball. All kinds of emotions watching this hall of fame induction. Your impact on this sport can't be measured with words wow man you are a walking living legend. You made all of us think we can fly. Always rocked a smile too. Always so well spoken. The history of the NBA cannot be written without you. That #15 Raptors jersey will live on forever.
Vince a genuine guy! I love all of his speech, alot of the thanks, and memories wear special, especially the one about Kobe! And his family! There's another part of the journey! Be better, not in their way, in The Most High way!
This dude was drafted when I was 11 years old. Went from being an absolute highlight machine to the 9th all time 3pt shooter. I still remember watching that Philly/Toronto series, I was in Wisconsin Dells for vacation. I'd be in the pool and whatnot, soon as game time approached, I got into the elevator, showered off, turned on the TV. My mom went to the room to grab something and she didn't know I had gone up there. She asked, "why are you up here and not in the pool or arcade area?". I told her, "Vince Carter and AI are in a playoff series". Been an absolute pleasure watching him for over 20 years.
Oakland in 2000...the day I fell in love with this sport. Vince will always be my favorite player of all time. Seeing him get inducted into the HoF makes me all kinds of emotional.
The fact that he's also a band geek who can play a few instruments is also amazing on top of being "half man, half amazing". Congrats, VC! You're the best!!
Congratulations Hall of Famer Vince Carter! Thank you for being an incredible player and person! You have truly been a Superhero and Role Model for all of us!🙏💪🏀
VC15 , such an incredible influence for the millennial kids in Toronto and all over the states. I remember attending your camp as a 7 years old in 2000, thank you for making me a lifelong fan of the game. Your creativity and passion made the game look beautiful and jaw dropping. Forgot about the stats and the accolades, you brought so much joy into my life by just witnessing your play . Thank you forever !
Congratulations Vince, you gave me so much pride as a Raptors fan. I cheered you, I booed you, I teared up during this video. Congratulations on one hell of a career and for making it into the Hall, you are truly half man, half amazing 👏

Congrats Vince. I've been really into you ever since I started watching NBA. Your Amazing Dunk was super exciting. Your Beautiful Shoot was inspiring. Your Crazy 360 layups was speechless. That is why you blew my mind.Always. It has not changed even now.Nothing but respect. Thank you !
I never got to see him play but I had tickets to a Hawks vs Bucks game for April 12th, 2020 on my birthday to get a chance to see this guy for one of the last games he’d ever play. Then of course Covid happened and I missed it. But to this day I still wonder how electric this guy must’ve been to watch in his prime.
Vince is one of, if not the, most exciting player to watch in NBA history. He shocked the world with his flashy dunks but don’t forget how skilled he was in everything else as well, especially 3-PT shooting!
Thank you, Vince Carter, for all your spectacular plays and hard work on and off the court for the city of Toronto over the years. You've put our city on the map and helped provided a positive exposure on both the city of Toronto, as well as the Country of Canada, to the world. When you were playing for the Raptors, you inspired the next generation of kids to play and dream about basketball (I was one of them). You were doing things on the basketball court that captured our imaginations. You were also a very clutch player as well; a lot of people forgot about that. During your Raptors days, I discovered on my vacation back then, that people on the other side of the world knew about you and were fans of yours too. Vinsanity, Air Canada, Half Man-Half Amazing, VC, it was an honor and a pleasure to watch you play in the NBA throughout your career. In Toronto and Canada, we love you forever, Hall of Famer, Mr. Vince Carter! Congratulations!
The biggest, congratulations my dude 22 seasons 43 year old 43 years old last game put Canada on the map monster dunker no words just congratulations. Love you my man
Greetings from Ataturkist Turk🐺 to Vince Carter from TÜRKİYE: One of the best players to ever play basketball, the best dunker of all time, perhaps the only superstar after Jordan to make us watch basketball around the world. He was such a good basketball player that he even overshadowed Jordan at one point, becoming the only superstar to surpass him in All Star voting. He also set an example for people with his personality, proving that a basketball player can be a superstar without winning a championship. He displayed the best individual performance in basketball history at the Olympics and was etched in people's memories with his legendary DEATH DUNK and received a gold medal.
Besides MJ... this was my guy my whole childhood.. him and twan at unc made me unc fans before i knew MJ went there.. Thanks Vince.. you made me love the game even tho i could never fly...

McGrady was good but Carter was somethign else to watch this guy would do dunks in game that guys would only dare even try in practice or a dunk competition..entertaining.
Thank you, Hall of Famer Vince Carter! You introduced me to the game we all love-basketball! You didn’t just put Toronto on the map, you made a lasting impact on the world. We love and appreciate you! ❤🎉 It’s Over!!! 🙏🏿🫶🏾
People need to stop bubbling him in , just being a dunker lol. When he retired he was top 10 in 3 pointers. Led the history of the league in 3point game winners . And he was behind Kobe all time game winners, over 25k points . He can shoot that thing too!
