This is my full synth recreation of Vince DiCola's WAR from the film Rocky IV.

This cover of WAR is the film version of the track rather than the album version, since I feel its the more powerful and emotive version.
Everything you hear in this recreation was worked out by ear. I do not have sheet music for it.
From a technical perspective, I worked in Cubase 10.5 and used a variety of VST instruments and my Roland FP60 digital piano.
This track was recreated with great respect and affection to Vince DiCola's original work, which I've been a fan of since I first watched the movie.

Vince DiCola is a genius! Him, Jean Michelle and Vangelis made learn the keys. And then I left the keys for 26 years to solely go the guitar route. And now I combine the two. For that ultimate 80s sound. They seem to be a match in heaven. Like a cello and a viola.

Incredible One of my fave pieces of music ever from my fave movie of my childhood Brings back so many memories of growing up I played rocky this soundtrack every night growing up Sounds so crisp and clean

So if you're used to hearing the album version, that might explain why my version sounds different. My goal was to recreate the movie version as closely as I could.
