Leave it to Vince to always do a great tribute to a country great who has left us. Love how humble he still is after all these years. Still can't believe Joe is gone, especially since he was the youngest of the Oaks and was always so full of energy and enthusiasm. Such a huge loss. Rest in peace, Joe!
Rest in Peace, Joe! You are now singing with the Angels!! Kudos to Vince, Richard and Dwayne for sharing such a great tribute! I grew up listening and singing along to the Oak Ridge Boys with Mom!
Rest in Peace Joe. You're now free from the earthly pain you were dealing with here on earth. Prayers for William Lee Golden and his family on the loss of their son.
In honor of the passing of Joe Bonsall from Oak Ridge Boys, singing Elvira are Vince Gill & Richard & Dwayne one of the members of Oak Ridge Boys. Rest In Peace Joe Bonsall, hashtag Elvira⚰️🖤🎼🎵🎶🕊️🤘⚡🌠⭐🌟.
The first song I remember hearing on the radio as a child. Richard Sterban made me a bass singer fan for life. I was much older before I would appreciate Joe’s tenor. Really saddens me to see them all aging. I know it’s part of life, but a lot of my childhood heroes have gone on in the past few years. This was great.
Vince is the luckiest man in the world! To be able to sing with true joy and get paid for it. If I could go home to such a lovely lady that he does, I would be happier than a dog with 3 tails!
I try to listen every time Vince is on because you literally never know what he’s going to do and one of the things that he does unbelievably is honor people who recently passed away. This was so fitting and so beautiful.
Well. That was lovely. Thank you. But, just as some jersey #'s are retired after a phenomenal athlete retires...this song should be retired and held dearly in our hearts. We'll sing it w Joe.❤
If he had a funeral, it was a private, family-only affair. I get the sense that he compartmentalized and enjoyed his limited time at home with his wife when he would put his stage life as an "Oak Ridge Boy" aside.
