Murray Hodgson confronts Vince McMahon on Donahue in 1992 about allegations that he was fired from the then-WWF after refusing to sleep with then Vice President Pat Patterson
@@twinktoiletsbestfriendsmomscan Yhh but do you have proof or a video of wrestlers talking about it in shoot interviews? Because this is the first I’m hearing it
Vince is a scumbag, but this guy is a massive liar. He is a scammer. The true dark side of the WWF/E would have co.e out if it was not for this lying scumbag.
DAM!!!...This 'back & forth' between Vince and Murray Hodgson is more entertaining and had my attention more than any episode of Raw over the last 3 years...
Apparently, Murray Hodgson made a career out of suing ex employer’s for the same accusations. The judge in his case not only dismissed his lawsuit, but allegedly called Murray Hodgson , ‘A Habitual liar and con man.’ Murray Hodgson would soon disappear from the spotlight. It is believed that Hodgson now lives and works as a night club owner in the Michigan area.
@Random Commenter that doesn't mean he isn't telling the truth here. he wasn't disputing the argument of possible sexual harassment. his argument was why did they not approach him about it while they were still working at the wwf or go straight to the authorities 2:01 sounds like a disgruntled former employee because he got fired.
if any of this were true look at today's postcasts.. former wrestlers do nothing but bad mouth him but they never bring up sexual harassment cover ups. he fired people over alot less. nobody was above firing no matter how much money they were bringing in.
No matter how much the Vince marks want to spin it, being fired 2 weeks after rejecting Pat Patterson's sexual advances is too coincidental. You can bring x, y, and z into the situation ... but going back to the main issue at hand, it is too coincidental. Hodgson is telling the truth in that regard and Vince is doing his usual playing of "I'm the victim" card.
@@dane21dc Being dead usually doesn't stop you from being cancelled, you know. You haven't heard of Jimmy Savile? But like I said, most people who likes doing cancel culture loves LGBT people like Pat, so they are more than willing to swept up his sexual abuses under the rug and memory hole them.
@@dane21dcJimmy Saville was a child rapist and it only really came to light after he died. His reputation was tarnished and he was effectively persona non grata after his death. Death doesn’t get you off the hook.
Figure 4 Weekly: "Hodgson was incredibly slick on talk shows, including getting the better of Vince McMahon in a lengthy argument on "Donahue." The only sign that there was more to the story were McMahon's comments about Hodgson demanding an immediate payoff to skip the appearance and a how they should talk about Hodgson's past, which wasn't followed up on. It was most certainly followed up on during his deposition, though, where McDevitt set traps about a number of topics that he could refute with proof. Perhaps most damningly, this included evidence that Hodgson and a partner would make a habit of using personal ads and chat lines to find closeted gay men so they could blackmail whoever they found. It got to the point where Hodgson's lawyer, who had represented Sgt. Slaughter in previous lawsuits, took a break, quit on the spot, and apologized to everyone on the WWE side."
Interesting. Thank you for sharing. Tom Kole did settle his suit. I believe Terry Garvin was the one who molested him. Hodgson was just trying to cash in.
Where did you find out all that information about Murray Hodgson? I have been looking for a while, but I was never able to find out anything about his con man past
It's very interesting that Murray Hodgson brought this up when others jumped in with their accusations, and I like how Vince was going to bring up his past and Hodgson interrupted him, because he has a shady past of false accusations
wow the guy says " you have tried to buy me off so i wouldnt reveal these allegations" and now its come out Vince bought another employee off to keep quiet about sexual harassment in WWE !
and it's also been brought out that this guy have sued other people for the same thing and was even called an habitual con man by the judge in the WWE case
Everyone thinks this is a "Gotcha" against Vince... But it's public record that Murray later admitted he was lying and simply trying to get a payoff from the wwf. But most don't bother to look into the case.
In 1992, Patterson was accused of sexual harassment by former ring announcer Murray Hodgson and released from the company until the charges were dropped, when he was promptly rehired. After dropping the charges, Hodgson's attorney referred to Hodgson as "a lifelong con man."
@@moviesynopsis001 was I? Because that was a direct quote from another story on that subject. So find something else that is ancient history to dig up.
I like how Donahue stayed mostly quiet while the two of them discussed the issue. Some hosts can't shut their faces, but Donahue does a superb job of just letting the story come right out.
My take on this, I think there's some truths on both sides. Maybe Pat Patterson did cross the line at some point and it was pure coincidence when Murray was fired and he used the event to try to get paid. Wouldn't surprise me if Vince tried to settle out of court any smart businessman would, But seeing as Murray has a history of making this stuff up, He likely milked it for all it's worth. But truthfully neither side has much credibility so we may never know the whole truth.
Vince McMahon is a god but Hodgeson did have a very goodVoice to transfer well to TV . He could of easily been at the time a interviewer atleast for the wrestlers
@ant8tfive I'm sitting at that table and I DO know for sure that everyone, with the possible exception of Hodgson, were definitely telling the truth on that show.
This is a heated exchange. They both held their own. Crazy to see 30 year old videos after the current scandal Vince finds himself in. Looks like he just buys people off. Patterson came out publicly as being gay long after this interview but internally it was known for decades before this interview. It's rare to see someone go toe to toe with Mcmahon. This was an interesting clip.
Note when McMahon brings up looking into his past, Murray is quick to dismiss that as nothing. He doesn't even say "There's nothing in my past." He just says "I don't think we should be bringing up the past." Con man.
This is why he doesn’t like doing interviews today. He was smeared a lot by people in the past. Nobody who is on TV likes being smeared especially when they need fans at their shows.
I am glad the truth came out. Pat Patterson didn't do this and it finally came out. Sad that people would ruin people's lives to get attention. Pat Patterson went back to working for Vince when the truth came out. And this Murray guy is a con artist. If only people knew of his past on this show. And you knew he was lying when he said 3 weeks and then 6 weeks.
You guys in the comments disgust me!. All of you are arguing and calling either Vince or Murray liars while overlooking the emotional fact that all Patterson wanted was some man meat.
Hodgson’s own lawyer decided to drop him as a client after McMahon and his team of lawyers and independent private investigators discovered that this wasn’t Hodgson’s first sexual harassment lawsuit. Apparently, Murray Hodgson made a career out of suing ex employer’s for the same accusations. I'm not saying there was or there wasnt but Hodgson seems slimey about it.
