I don't think TNA will replace NXT anytime soon. TKO is being paid a lot by the CW Network to air NXT for the next 5 years starting in October. What TNA might become is sort of a "satellite promotion" where some NXT talent can go to work in a different environment with very experienced people before making the jump to the main roster and a place that WWE can get talent from too. It's like a step between NXT and the main roster. I wouldn't be surprised if WWE did it with other small promotions too and created a network of feeding territories. It's a sneaky way to create a monopoly.

Doubt they'll replace NXT with TNA, but they may do a lot of crossover going forward which is just as cool/interesting.

Currently, NXT has more value than the current state of TNA. Replacing NXT with TNA is simply bad business since the only thing worth value in TNA is the library. NXT's tv deal with CW probably saved it from more budget cuts so good on Nick Khan for good business. Also the current state of the indy scene is so below average that even HHH and HBK are keeping the post-Black and Gold developmental formula with the occasional indy signing. Stand and Deliver 2024 was literally NXT's biggest show ever. Tiffany Stratton went from not being able to cut a promo in 205 Liv to surpassing Booker T's golden girl (Roxanne who has flopped so bad that they needed to bring in Jordynne Grace) and outdrawing nearly every women in WWE now and is signed to a top agency now. Trick Williams and Lola Vice have gotten over in a level not seen in years for NXT. Bianca Belair is a walking sponsorship machine so there are some things that have gotten better for NXT. Not perfect but more promising than the piss poor state of TNA since most of the TNA roster are not draws based on recent data. If they buy TNA, it will be for the library only and make sure someone like Vince doesn't buy it with his Saudi business partners.

If ECW is any indication, the crossovers start when the smaller company is on really tough times It also just makes good business sense to get TNA on your side. Got a spot to send troublesome talent with name value, a spot for people to get seasoning, shake off ring rust etc.

Perhaps it's that WWE is trying to prove that it's not a monopoly after the MLW/WWE antitrust lawsuit rather than WWE trying to turn TNA into a developmental territory to replace NXT. I believe WWE settled w/ MLW over it but could be wrong. In any case, maybe to avoid future allegations they're trying to work w/ other promotions, talking about how there's other promotions, etc. Granted, it was starting to move in that direction before the lawsuit and I'm not sure of the ins and outs of antitrust and monopoly laws, but I think it's worth at least exploring.

I can see why promotions fail when he's involved.

TNA needs to be what WCW should of been its own entity, but crossovers, wwe doesn't need to buy them but Endeavor could especially since theyre the ones who partially finances them, haven crossovers would get more eyes on TNA this what fans including myself wanted for years! 👏

It makes sense. It allows wwe to send talent that may need more seasoning or are just starting out to tna and allows tna to capitalize on the talent they create. I don't feel that nxt will go away. I feel it will be the middle ground between the indys and the main roster.

Russo is such a tool. Literally almost every current champion on the main roster except Cody, Logan Paul and the Awesome Truth came up through nXt. Damian Priest is one of the hottest superstars on the roster, Liv Morgan is doing the best work of her career, Bayley and Sammy Zayn are already futire hall of famers. Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Bron Breaker, Carmelo Hayes, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Gunther.... The roster is filled with guys and girls who are doing exceptional work who came from nXt. As usual Russo is clueless

WWE has access to a feeder system that someone else pays for. Russo should just stick to pretending he was a good booker.

NXT has their own TV, runs their own live events and has their own PLE’s. Their TV shows gets higher ratings than TNA. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Charlotte, Bayley, Rhea Ripley, list goes on and on and on as far as wrestlers who have gotten over on the main roster. I think it’s possible tna is swallowed up by wwe, but the reasoning Vince is giving makes no sense.
