Vincita Brompton Keeper Box Review 

I just purchased the similar Rhinowalk 14"-16" box. Almost the exact same dimensions and functionality, but about 33% cheaper (£73 vs £109 in the UK). I can't speak to the quality comparison, because I don't have a Vincita to compare to. Thanks for the inspiration of this video to push me to do some research. Very pleased with my new Brompton folding storage box.

Looks convenient enough to just leave in the trunk and use it to prevent groceries or small items from moving about, when it’s not being used for bikes. All you’d need to do is anchor or stabilize it. I think some jugs of windshield washer fluid and booster cables might fit in that too.

We use 2 Clevermade collapsible crates in our SUV - they're the 62 L / 16 gallon size and perfectly fit the Bromptons. $20 at Costco when we bought them a few years ago. They stay in the SUV as they are also handy for groceries and other things and fold flat if we need the space. Almost the same dimensions as the Vincita (slightly wider) but we also put our helmets, jackets and other bike stuff in the crate as well. We have a pull over cover that came with the SUV so no need for a bag to hide them but if it was another vehicle we would just put an Ikea Dimpa bag over them instead. I love Vincita's other bags but this option seems overpriced for what it is.

I can see this being very useful for those with car boots big enough to accommodate the Brompton upright. I agree with other commenters that this is far too expensive, however. I think 40 to 50 USD would probably have been a more acceptable price point.

The keeper box looks pretty wonderful to me! I would like to see some attachment points on the box to secure it with bungie chords and would also like to see an all black version without the accent colors. Other than that and the price, it looks nearly perfect! I would consider them just for bike storage at home, to keep the dog hair away from them when they are sitting on the floor.

That price seems about $90 higher than I would be willing to pay. If it could cover the whole bike, and fit in the dimpa bag, then I would be a lot more interested.

It looks like you may own or use a Honda Fit / Jazz. Does the container fit underneath the privacy cover in the rear, if you have one, when it’s in vertical orientation? And is it tricky to insert the bike with the container in the car already, given the lip on the trunk opening and the lower height on the trunk floor? I’m interested but find it a little disappointing that they weren’t able to include a handle you could lift the container with while the bike is inserted. I’m glad you called that out as it seems like a major oversight.

This looks interesting. However, I have installed a Swytch AIR electric conversion kit on my Brompton, and that makes the folded bike wider than normal by about 3 or 4 inches. I am concerned that this would make it too wide for the Brompton Keeper Box. Any comments?

These seem to solve the problem we have trying to secure our Bromptons in the back of our car. We live in Ont. and are wondering if you got dinged for import duties and/or HST?

I’m using the Keeper box. My main problem is that the box tends to slide around and fall over in a moving car. Not sure if anyone has figured a hack for this. Sadly, my car doesn’t have any hooks or tows inside the boot with which I can bungee strap the bike for additional stability. If anyone has faced the same issue and has any suggestions I’d be most grateful. Thank you.

Would 2 inverted keeper boxes fit over each to enclose a Brompton?

Or repurpose the bike boxes your Brompton or tri-folds cane in by crafting it into 2 bike holders.

Only four Bromptons? Tsk! 😉 I think the keeper box, while looking smart and practical, is too highly priced.
