Vine Pruning 

It’s so wonderful how many of us came here to understand more about John 15 and what it means for God to prune the good fruits. I pray God continues to grow us in Faith❤❤

I came here having read John 15:2. Really eye opening. So much work goes into making sure a believer bears fruit. Thank God for the Holy Spirit!

Look at God’s children being hearers and doers (taking action to understand and apply to every day life) of the Word! So encouraged as I look at these comments! The Lord LOVES us & has given us everything we need to remain in His love & joy and be complete in our joy! (John 15:11) Sending love to every disciple of Christ being pruned! May we continue to love one another today & every day until we see our Lord and Teacher face to face!! ❤🎉🎉

Thanks guys! Im starting a job in the running season here in New Zealand, so its great to have this instructive so clear about terms and know how. I have a question, after seasons for pruning under a cordon train, those spurs start to get longer, do you cut them and return to a "basal spurs" emerging directly from the cane? :)

If I may ask, the branches cut has no use anymore, right? That's why either they're use as compost pile, or burned?

Thera also hybrid methods such as box prunning and then manually cleaning up the vines and trellises for productivity and cleanliness.

It's funny 😂 I came here only to find fellow believers also trying to understand John 15 more...why our Lord chose to refer to Himself as the true vine...and why a vine specifically out of all trees He created and we are the branches...and prunning... etc ...I still need to know why even after watching...😅 but I know the Holy Spirit will help me understand it more with time😇

I'm in the 2nd summer for my vines, i pruned all the way to the 2nd bud on both of my canes growing off the trunk. Now it I have canes/ shoots growing every which direction should i wait til dormancy to train the plant and start pruning? or can i establish a main trunk and start cutting now?
