I got Goin South too. It's a gorgeous box set for a great movie. VS lovingly restores these films. This is what 4k goes best, restores a classic to its glory, in a way no one's seen since the original theatrical run.

The Last Slumber Party is awesome, and this release was great. Don't let the haters ruin the movie for you.

Also found my copy of Dr Terror's House of Horrors in the mail today. Excited to watch this one soon. The 60's dark atmospheric Technicolor palette is gonna be another 4K HDR delight just like Dr. Hichcock 🤗

11:58, Ken, Mary was in Time After Time in 1979 where she met up with H.G. Wells and tried to stop Jack the Ripper from using his time machine. It's a great movie if you haven't checked it out yet. I've always like her, too. Back To The Future III, she looked great. Dr. Terror's House of Horrors is fantastic, Ken. An anthology of horror stories with a young Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Looks great on 4K! I really wish they would release all of Barbara Steele's gothic horror movies on the 4K format. She is amazingly beautiful. First saw her with Vincent Price in The Pit and the Pendulum.

Ordered both Goin’ South and Dr. Terror as well. Just watched Dr. Terror a few nights ago. From a film perspective, it’s silly retro fun with great performances from all. Not scary in the least and a bit cheesy but that adds to the charm of the film. What is striking, however, is the 4k transfer. With the film being made in what appears to be true Technicolor, and the 4k remaster, this is one of the most visually stunning films I have yet seen on 4k UHD. Worth the purchase just for the picture quality which is absolutely incredible

Good pickups. I'm glad I renewed my subscription to VS. The discounts are nice on the other titles, too. I wish it were a little bit cheaper or that they'd at least include all releases for subscribers, but happy overall. The partner labels have been putting out good stuff as well. While I'd have much preferred your copy of Tunnel from Umbrella, I wouldn't have wanted to pay the asking price for it. I'm glad I was able to get it with the exclusive slip I got. However, if you'd care to do an even trade, I'm game 😂. I'm mildly annoyed that I missed the slip on the director Fabio Salerno set, but it's not a wonderful slip or anything, so I'll live. If you haven't picked it up yet, I really think you should see if you can pick it up. They're down to 175 copies. Also, I don't care what anyone else says, I'm excited to get the Navy SEALS VSU. My brother and I used to watch it as kids, so I'm nostalgic for it.

Hey Ken. In regards to Mary Steenburgen, if you haven't seen Time After Time (1979), I suggest you pick it up. Warner Archive... Cool contemporary riff of Hg Wells' The Time Machine mixed with Jack The Ripper: Steenburgen, Malcom McDowell, and David Warner. I'm really looking forward to getting Going South as I somehow have missed all these years, but I'll likely wait for a second, regular case release. I must have consistency. I'll finally be getting Red Rock West at the end of the month for that same reason. love those old anthology type like Dr. Terrors House of Horrors. It one of those old flicks my buddies and I would catch on these cool Saturday programs out of Michigan, like The Saturday Shocker, Thriller Double Feature, or Scream Theatre.

I saw recently that Vinegar Syndrome will not be releasing Altered Innocence titles anymore, so I ordered Irreversible and Hypnosis. Irreversible has been on my to watch list for a while now, I’ve heard that it’s a rough watch. Hypnosis is a blind buy, from what I read in the description it sounds interesting. I also got Last Gasp from VS because it was $10 (with a slipcover even 😮) Robert Patrick plays an evil land developer who gets possessed by the spirit of a Mexican tribesmen and goes on a nocturnal killing spree. For ten dollars, that’s worth a buy in my book

The only good one you got is going south. But I can't believe you actually paid money for that garbage the last slumber party massacre. Bc I remember renting that movie on VHS back in the VHS era. And there was nothing good about the last slumber party massacre. And all i got to say is who ever buys the last slumber party massacre on bluray just bc of the slip cover. You just wasted money on a big pile dog shit of a film. And this is one of the reasons why I don't blind buy any blurays from viniger syndrome. Bc of garbage movies like this
