Paws on Fire? I did play that and it was actually pretty good. But only because it was a reskin of Bit Trip Runner 3 made by the same developers. It's the best game of the Bubsy series, which isn't saying a lot.
it continues to bug me that people are all "this was in a dream, so it didn't count, wart's not real" YOU ARE LITERALLY SAVING THE DREAM WORLD, the manual was up front about that. how else are you going to get there?
Joel is genuinely horrible at like every single game he plays yet has such an insane persistence and drive that he completes some of the most absurd video games challenges
It should be noted that Simpsons predictions are indeed a real thing, I dunno how many recent ones are fake with how many people use AI just to be unfunny as shit but a lot of the ones they've made in older episodes are indeed real.
Nice to know Joel gets as annoyed with Simpsons predictions as I do, especially since most "predictions" now are just edited videos or screenshots made to show they "predicted" something, and it's now worse given you can now just AI up a screenshot and try and pass it off as a Simpson "prediction".
As one of the GBA's launch-day games, they of course had to do the traditional dick-waving of its new capabilities. So you end up with decisions like "We can put crusty voice clips into GBA games! Let's use that _constantly_ to show off!" The novelty of it wore thin quickly, even back in the day.
10:39 I guess you'll have to make highlights for Joel's playthrough of The Woolies Strike Back now. Can't believe it's been 6 years since. Can't believe the was only 90 minutes long.
Had no idea what Birdo was saying either. For a long time I thought it was “Ow me Boba Fett” (Edit: Why is Wart part of the dream but Birdo and shy guy aren’t?)
