Interesting that bocchi the rock and vinland saga both had a mentor figure say "you don't have any enemies" to the protagonist in this week's reactions.
On the topic of English not changing much in a thousand years and food: Would you believe that the event that did the most to inject French into the English language happens within 100 years of this story? William the Conqueror takes over England on behalf of Normandy in 1066, and then the language used by the nobility changed to mainly French. You can still see the effects of that to this day in the words that we use to describe food. Generally, the name for animals will come from a Germanic root word (original English is a Germanic language), but the word for the food you prepare from them is generally a French root word. This probably comes from the fact that commoners generally couldn't afford to buy a cow or sheep to eat, but the nobility could. Sheep is from the German schaf, and mutton is from the French mouton. Cow is from the German kuh, and beef is from the French boeuf. Chicken is from the German küchlein, and poultry is from the French poulet.
Hey man a fan of your content I recommend you to react to a anime call monster 2004 it is so dark and philosophical and psychological and it is considered the goat of industry Please give it a try ❤
Hey man i suggest you to react to one piece Trust me when you want to start it you will think it is so long but when you end it you will wish it was never ended
Sorry to disappoint, but we've tried OP before, but not on camera though. I didn't hate it, but it's not my thing. The manga reads better than the anime plays IMO. Christine really didn't like the anime. We both find the live action to be better than the anime in many ways, but manga is the way to go it seems. That being said, it's still not my thing. Sorry. Thanks for watching and thanks for the support!
