Nice. Love that Nicole is here now. Also, Alex comes across as a great addition. I think he adds another dimension to the reactions, which will help you all bounce ideas/theories off of one another more freely. That's always good!
0:04 Who be editing these videos bruh LMFAO!! Cause yall have been doing Sam dirty (Especially in Vinland Saga reactions) with these funny ass edits lately🤪😂
Dani struggling to understand the concept of two parents cracked me up I literally never heard of a "tern" until I got to the bigass arc way later in this series "the fettered tern" and then Alex randomly drops the word "tern" in there
I like the idea that more people react to the chapters. And much more when they are people who respect what they are seeing and pay attention to it. Well done.
So another part of the reason why thorfinn is so furious about his father's death is that thor wasn't holding a weapon when he was killed and in norse mythology you need to die with one in your hand to get to Valhalla
I don't think Thorfinn at this point cares about the Norse religion at all, he just wants to kill Askeladd. The fact that he doesn't see what's so fun about battle kinda hints to that. I think being around his father's killers skewed his perception of things from when he was a kid
@@kingjaylen9712 interesting perspective however the fact that honour and tradition is important to him which is evident through the way in which he refuses to kill askeladd in his sleep or when he has his guard down in my opinion doesn't match up with that way of thinking. If he simply wanted askeladd dead he could kill him literally whenever he wants. We have seen that thorfinn is an extremely talented combatant who is also an expert at subterfuge and infiltration, however inspite of those skills he wants the square to be made and to kill askeladd in simple one on one combat, in the tradition of the norse people not only to get revenge for his father but to prove that his father was indeed a great warrior and "restore" his honour so he is worthy of valhalla. Obviously his father is already a great and noble warrior who needs no further proof that he is worthy of the highest of the Nordic afterlife pantheons but in thorfinn's mind he needs it to be completed in the traditional way for it to be complete. He might not pray to thor, odin or any of the gods, but its part of the culture all around him and what he had known and idolised all his life. Yes I agree that he doesn't like violence at all but he using it at this time in order to achieve his goal of proving his father's worth and revenge.
@@kikokid101 That honor point is a good one. I definitely think it started off that way when he was younger, but by the end of this season I think he saw the duel as his only purpose to live. That righteous sense of vengeance he once had got buried in all the dead bodies
@@kingjaylen9712 without getting into spoilers I see what you mean but at the same time I still think that honour and getting that fulfillment is still a major driving force for him even at the end of this season
@@kingjaylen9712 im pretty sure he dose end up caring about that, he only stops caring when Spoiler for end of s1: Askalad is dead in which he Spoiler for s2: dosent really care about anything untile Spoiler for end of s2: he understands his farther and becomes more like him
Am I the only one that thinks of TeamFourStar and Grand Elder Guru every time you see the prince talk about the hawk lol Wait did he say Athelstan? You watched Viking Alex, you know bare basics.
I'm guessing that Brycheiniog was where the Brecon Beacons are now. Great landscape for hiking in the rain. Given that the rain is pretty much inevitable. The Welsh, as formerly Roman Britons, preserved reading and Latin and Christianity when they were driven out of England, so if anything they should have been more literate than the English and the Danes. Certainly the Cornish and the Britons of Brittany were.
@@TheReactPack hey audio engineer here, with limited mics you can swing them overheard instead of direct to pick up voices better. Also since Alex voice is deep, he is hitting the low so that mic should have it eq range wider the the other two. The two mics over the women should be tailor to the higher eq range. Like 10k to 16k.
@@izzitheraider24 We upgraded to 5 yeti mics in future episodes so the sound definitely improves by then. But your insight on the eq range is helpful! I'll pass it along to the others. :) -Sam
Welsh is thousands of years older than English welsh is a phonetic language and there's no point in trying to pronounce welsh words with the English alphabet 😄 😁
Nice that there is male added alot of anime like vinland saga like to add “machismo” moments that make the moment more that only males can really understand and that might go over some females head
No offense, but, with very few exceptions, 5+ ppl is too many for anime reactions, IMO. Alex is a good example why. Several times in this reaction he looks like he wants to say something about a scene, but other ppl are talking (usually NOT about the scene) and by the time they finally stop talking the scene has long past. He’s worried about being rude so he ends up saying nothing. He might have had something interesting to say, but because there are so many ppl there he never gets to say it.
WHO DA HELL IS THAT GUY AND WHY IS HE WITH MY QUEENS??? TAKE HIM OUT...!!! oh, is nicole boyfriend....ok...but stay way from my Morgan and Sam. SHINZOU WO SASAGEYO...!!!
