Askelad was not the same person you saw in episode 1. That was a different person👍🏻

Vinland, Berserk and Vagabond is the top three seinen for a reason in my opinion. I love this anime/manga with all my heart, such an important one that everyone should watch. Top notch from animation to story and the godly soundtrack.
