I’ve just watched in interview on GMB. Say what you like about him, he is a strong family man and has been there for his wife throughout all her health issues until she passed away this year. He lives in the USA but avoids the luvvies of Hollywood and has stayed close to his roots. He may not be built like a garage or have the fighting skills of Bruce Lee, he may have been a very average footballer and a bit of a thug at times, but I’ve never heard of him backing down or running from a fight even if he bit off more than he could chew.
He had a run in with the Gladiators behind the scenes,John Fashanue a good pal of his had his back.Hard nut through and through,wont back down from anyone.

Jess Bickett is the one just standing there (he's holding a beer mug in his right hand, not a cue stick) and Vinnie is on the right, the one who for no reason starts slapping Jesse, then punches him in the back of the head.....Jesse reacts in self defense by using his only free hand (with the mug) and strikes vinnie in the face...the fat bouncer in the beginning was innocent and Vinnie was just venting his rage on him.....lol Even though Vinnie is nuts I still love his movies, lol

I remember this. I'm friends with The guy whose hand got all cut up. I couldn't believe this because he isn't normally a fighter and is very nice usually. But alcohol does change some people.
maybe for some people but if your bigger you can use that as your advantage. see when i was a younger i wore glasses so if i got started on and i knew it was gonna end up a fight i would throw my glasses to a friend and grab the guy with my left and hit him hundreds of times with my right. never failed...

Apparently the bystander had nothing to do with this and he was glassed by a different man. It doesn’t surprise me as early before this incident he randomly attacked someone on a aeroplane because he was drunk. Before he attacked him, he apparently told him he knows people that would kill for him. I think he said this to ensure that he wouldn’t fight back. To me, that’s cowardly but feel it is fuelled by trying to live up to a reputation. If he didn’t have people protecting him, i recon he would have been seriously hurt by that guy in the corridor. Damn too big for him.
The bystander was actually a friend of the guy that glassed vinnie hence why vinnie started on him though the bystander wasn't directly responsible for the attack. Also he would have been hurt by the guy? It dont matter how big you are as a heavyweight, any other guy that is also a heavyweight however much smaller has the power to knock you out. The fat guy even said in an interview it felt like he was being hit by the juggernaut. His face was bruised.

If you look in the video you can see that vinnie jones had already been glassed in the other room, blood all over his face. Apparently he was making his way out when he came across one of them. How you guys think you can judge based on a minute and a half on youtube I have no idea. Whatever went on first happened in the other room away from this camera.
before you judge him, if you watched piers morgans life stories vinnie explains this, before hand the big guy smashed a glass over vinnies head and as vinnie fell he hit his head on the corner of a snooker table. And when vinnie was leaving the big was waiting for him so vinnie decided to go down fighting.
The man in the corridor and the one that glassed him were two different people. It was a smaller guy who glassed him and ended up messing his hand in the process. He actually has a video that’s easily found on this justifying his actions (not saying it’s true) and it’s clear these 2 men are completely different. The only thing they have in common is they’re both bold. Maybe drunk haze lead to him attacking this innocent guy. But with his reputation i recon he was just venting knowing his minders would keep him safe.

He tried to take out his rage on a guy while he was walking out of the pub from the fight. The big guy was going to let him pass, as you can see how he laid up against the wall but vinnie decided he'd rather punch this guy for no reason anyways. Good on him for getting his ass kicked. I always thought the guy was a hardass and I love his movie characters but boy did he deserve this or what.

@williebanjo I'm sure you wouldn't say that to his face... He's calmed down these days... If you watch the whole video it highlights something that happened earlier.
A lot of people are lying by saying that the large guy glassed Vinne Jones. A smaller white guy glassed Vinne Jones because he was being a typical bully and slapping the guy around. It's literally shown in the video at 0:50 seconds.

I don't know what happened....but it seems like at :58 seconds Vinnie is just standing there holding a pool cue when he is attacked from behind....the first hallway scene was after the attack ( you can see Vinnie's head is already bleeding and his shirt is covered with blood).....I don't know if Vinnie's attack on the fat guy was because he recognized him from the earlier attack or if it was just pent up rage from all the adrenaline flowing through him from being attacked from behind.

Dont get me wrong, i like vinnie jones (i thought he was brilliant in 'The condemned'). But, i've always known he wasn't hard. He was a hardman on the football pitch....he shoulda left the tough guy reputation on the pitch.
