I don't think Vinny understands what the literal meaning of "professional" is. It just means you get paid for it. It's just that usually people who are paid for something are good at it-- better than most, anyways. The word carries weight for sure. I met someone years ago that said they "drew their entire life" and were a professional. I was thinking about how much better they must've been than me... However after looking at their 'art', "doodling" was more fitting. Sounds mean, but it caught me off guard. They did get paid to do work, though (As part of their family business), so technically were a professional. It is what it is. So yes, Vinny is a professional gamer and we probably won't see him lapse for a long time.

That pizza tower mod sums up how pizza tower fans will make 4 hour video essays on why it's the best balanced platforming game ever created, but instead of pointing out it's because it's its own thing, they'll say it's because of the really specific design choices that don't transfer well to other games. Not every game needs P ranks, combos and wallrunning. Actually, most 3d platformers are made better with wallrunning, but never mind that.

Fun Fact: The ball Mario is directly modeled after an old Mcdonald's toy (when they were still good). The whole ball was red with the other colors painted over, so whenever the paint faded over the face, it tended to look a liiiiitle disturbing...

Today, we learn that Vinny doesn't know what the word "professional" actually means. He seems to think that a professional is a highly skilled expert. This is not the case, at all. A professional is somebody who does something as their profession. Somebody who makes money from doing the thing in question. Since Vinny is making money from streaming and playing video games, he is by definition a professional video gamer and professional streamer.
