The total lineup of Kellogg's cereal from 1952. Well crafted commercial, and it has a kid saying "HOOP-DE-DOO"

Krumbles was absolutely my favorite cereal and I remember going to the store about 1967 with my grand dad to get some and they no longer had it. The grocer said, sorry they quit making it. And that was the end of my favorite cereal.

Julio Pecina what was it like, well it was like strips of bran i guess they were rolled flat so it was crispy ribbons of wheat somehow, totally smooth and very then say 1/16" wide strips of goodness.

"Sugar Frosted Flakes" weren't introduced until late 1952; this ad appeared earlier that year, when Kellogg's sponsored "WILD BILL HICKOK" (starring Guy Madison and Andy Devine) in syndication [and the thrice-weekly Mutual radio edition], "HOWDY DOODY", and "ALL STAR REVUE", featuring rotating stars Jimmy Durante and Ed Wynn {note the banner at 0:41}.

Pep was Kellogg's answer to General Mills' Wheaties. Kellogg's currently has a seldom-promoted wheat-flake cereal called "Complete Bran Flakes" (like Raisin Bran without the raisins).

Not until the fall of '52, 'heine' (or, in New York, as late as April 1953). During the first season, Kellogg's "pushed" Frosted Flakes [several commercials featuring "Clark Kent" promoting it are posted].

(Sugar) Frosted Flakes debuted in 1953 with Tony the Tiger and Katy the Kangaroo as battling mascots. Tony the Tiger, as we all know, was the winner...

Corn Soya, introduced in 1949, was touted as a "muscle" cereal, and was shaped like thin "Chinese noodles". It vanished from grocers' shelves by the early '70s....

This is a great commercial. do you have a better quality copy? I am making a documentary that has a section on Kelloggs and I would be interested in securing a better copy.

I have a feeling that Corn Soya was the most repulsive...lol

Not too many "kid-friendly" cereals (except for Corn Pops) in that Kellogg's variety pack.

Origially, they were "Sugar Smacks" when introduced in the fall of 1953.They became "Honey Smacks" by the early 1980's (sugar is *BAD* for you at breakfast, kids!).
