Wow! When was the last time you saw one of these? Probably never :)
Launched in 1973 the Hoover Freedom was in direct competition with the Electrolux 330 / 345 series. It was no competition - 330 / 345 won hands down. Despite that, I can't help loving the Freedom. It is by far and away my most favourite cylinder vacuum cleaner.
I've had this one for years and only recently came to realise just how rare it is. The S4002 (seen in the last picture of the vid) is still pretty common, however few of the S4006 and S4008 machines have survived, probably because no one bought them in the first place.
At some point I will do a 'Freedom Retrospective' where I talk about this interesting cleaner but for now, enjoy the Electronic in all its glory.
