Those wheels look great on the Civic! What a cool car, man. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the center caps. Those awards look great, too! I've actually been (slowly) working on making a set of LED sidemarkers for my Beretta. I'm 3d printing the housing and thinking of running a semi-opaque acrylic for the lens (red and amber, or maybe frosted clear). I have some samples but haven't fully committed to it or learned how to properly cut it, ha.
Thank you! And that’s awesome man! I haven’t really dived into learning 3D design or 3D printing yet. I had a printer for a while, but the design aspect was a major challenge.
They do work well, the gold ties in nicely with the amber lenses. They're the sort of wheel you'd expect to see on a similar era Prelude, but I'm not sure they'd work as well as they do on this Civic. I may be a little bias though, I used to run a lowered 90s Rover 414 with gold three spokes so... For some reason 13s have a habit of finding the worst bits of every broken tarmac road, no matter what tyres you put on, just going up to a 14 can improve matters.
FYI - Not sure if you know this BUT Honda has "Ball Seat" style Lugnuts...If you used the Honda Lugnuts on the ENKEIs they are not "seated" properly because the ENKEIs have an "acorn style" seat and need aftermarket Lugnuts!
She looks good for sure, are you going to restore the plastic with a heat gun and lots of time instead of painting them? Maybe throw some business stickers all over her and use her as a driving billboard . Love the three spokes for sure
Thanks man! I have a trim restore product that a few Honda enthusiast friends swear by on this 1980s Honda plastic, so I’m going to try that first before trim paint as a last option!
