VINTAGE 60s TURNBULL ESCALATOR ROLLING CARPET 

I love running on these things, makes you feel like you got a speed boost power-up like in a video game.

It looks like a rubber conveyor belt. That's so cool!

Little known fact: this style of "escalator" was invented by former Maple Leafs star defenseman Ian W. Turnbull before he turned pro. He also holds the NHL record for most goals in one game by a defensemen with 5, and on just 5 shots! Crazy!

I loved the rubber escalators when I was little, I always jumped on them.

They've been replaced.... NOOOOOOOOO! At Least the Beaudry one is still there.

They have those on the Glasgow subway

It is very rare to see moving walkways that are like this (that work like a conveyor belt). I have filmed one, that I think was made by Goodyear.

I think that every place that has escalators should get rid of them and have this one.

Apparently they're gone now. Replaced with successive standard escalators.

Moving sidewalks. Sadly, "La Rampe", as those ones were nicknamed, is gone, replaced by a set of conventional escalators.

They use these some escalator to get to the loading area of the Walt Disney World TTA/PeopleMover but it’s wasn’t made by TurnBull It’s was made by Goodyear

Interesting to mention Beaudry, as it is the lowest, versus U of M which is the highest.

Sadly, the whole tunnel was gutted, and these "rolling carpets" have been replaced by.....conventional escalators!

I thought some manufacturers called these treadalators.

These are not escalators. These are EPIC inclined moving walkways!

They still have a few Turnbull elevators in MTL. The Turnbull's finally got out of the elevator business. It was too up and down
