It's electro, not rap. And besides, what kind of music do you think people played on these things? Boring-ass elevator music like John Denver or Fleetwood Mac? Nope.
@@80s_Boombox_Collector You can call it what you want but crap is crap and stupid is stupid. If you use the word music to describe that then you don't have a vocabulary and you don't know what words mean.
3:24 that Sanyo with ground firing speaker shows how creative they were in that years. Everything that could catch the eye or curiosity of the customer was good to go into the expenses report.
It’s really amazing how diverse the “radio collector “ community is. There are some awesome radios here. (I’m a collector. Started out wanting to collect am/fm pocket radios . My collection didn’t exactly stay that way.). Cool. I enjoyed the post 📻🙂
*Very Good Collection at a time visible on Mobile screen. I am still like all these and also I use them. More than 300 Audio cassettes in my collection. And these systems are 100% believable in performance. And not like today's USB players. For my Magic shows I use this & can control myself anywhere. There are some limitations, but that's O.k. All Two-in-one in this video are wonderful.*
I saw just the edge of my old JVC RCM70 with blue tape on it, that was a great box, not the biggest, but very powerful with super clear sound, it was a monster for it's size.
i want one of these so badly but they are so hard to find and when you do find one they want an arm and a leg for it but you can't beat the sound that they produce at least i can admire them here thanks for posting this brings back memories
Thrift shops, estate sales, flea markets, the little old lady who lost her son in the gulf war? They exist and some people will give them away while others have a collectors premium extorted price tag on them for no other reason that pure greed. Be aware that 99% of the time you will need to do a capacitor change out on one before actually using it.
i bought a brand new conion c-100f back in '84 for $250 off a wholesale box truck parked on the side of a highway in tampa florida. you can walk inside the truck and the guy had a huge selection of boomboxes on display to choose from.
I am 50 and had a Radio Shack Realistic SCR-8 boombox. Still wish I had it. Been making some DIY ammo can speaker boxes with Class D amplifiers (100 + 100w RMS). Really enjoy portable and loud music. Thanks for the video
There was one I wanted so bad when I was about 14 years old. I used to stare at it at the local Zayre store. It was $150 which was so far away from anything I could afford. DUal cassette. I remember the 2nd cassette slid in like a car stereo.
Damn I forgot the brand name of the one I had back in Day it was silver and it had good bass! I remember a lot of dudes in my neighborhood telling me they was gonna steal mine but they knew better than that!!!!!! This is really cool and takes me back to a way better time in Life!
Don't see one of the best Panasonic's boom box. Brown, tan , chromed trim. 5 band equalizer, speakers separated, with speaker cable hook ups. One of the best sounds I've ever heard. And I have seen and heard a few.
Most of what your looking at in this video are not boomboxes. THEY ARE FRIGGIN JAM BOXES ! Tall and flat NO boom, for boom you need deep and square. When you start seeing the CD player on top, those are boomboxes. STOP CALLING JAM BOXES BOOMBOXES
Woooooow I remember playing my breakdance music on this monsters RADIOS I buy my firstone in BRODWAY RD ON LOS ANGELES AMAIZING, I WANT TO GET ONE AGAIN!!!
In 1989 I was 6 years old and had a STEREO-RADIO CASSETTE RECORDER of ESPACE (not PANASONIC, SONY, SANYO, PHILIPS or other electronics marks)...it was black, with two loudspeakers, an external microphone for recording, two cursors on the high-left for manipulating VOLUME and TONE, a switch for changing CASSETTE-RADIO-AUX, a red led which light when radio transmitting in stereophonia and 4 batteries retrocontainer.
by god what dinosaurs sounded like in that golden age a paradise from the 80s the bieja guard. what beautiful audio equipment. Indestructible powerful super heavy analog dinosaurs. They are the good guard of the audio sound. uaaauuu
