Vintage alarm clock radios. The “hidden” functions of the chip LM8560 

Not everybody who owns one of it, knows all the functions of the chip LM8560.
LM8560 is the most common IC used in alarm clocks and clock radios with LED display in the 1980's-1990's years, And it survives in some models until today in 2023.
The most of these “hidden” functions are not explained in the user manuals of the clocks.
