Mechanical sirens of today, even Federal, ain't sh*t! This right here,is real. The coast and growl is unbelievable. How it reacts to the power current is deliciously unexplainable.Keep it classic!
If you've never done so, you need to see one of Kevin O'Connell's siren demos. Kevin owns B&M and he pits his Super Chief against the Federal Q at fire musters, etc. At 100 ft. the Super Chief will beat the Q....every time.
@lalvarado63 , if it's ablinking green traffic signal it means it's controlled by pedestian traffic. It will go steady green shortly after being activated by the pedestrian at the side walk. Then yellow and red. Then after it's cycle.. Back to flashing green. Come on up and check it out.
That's an understatement, Cliff. When I was a little kid Ellis Funeral Home had a fender-mounted S8B on their '54 Ford wagon. In Sept. of '55 my dad and I witnessed a motorscooter wreck behind our house. Ellis responded the Ford wagon. When the ambulance rounded the corner, the driver (who happened to be alone) let up on the siren. Dad helped him hobble the boy to the front seat of the ambulance. Then the guy sat for a few minutes waiting for the cops, but after more than 5 minutes he decided to transport and asked Dad to let them know. All total that siren sat and coasted the better part of 10 minutes before the driver took off again. Is the doubletone I heard the one you had on the blue high top Caddie at one time?
