Mowing short wet grass with a vintage scythe set-up: an American snath with English blade.
Not much to cut here, but I want it short because at this time of the year there is an extra bonus to having an open grassy area on the allotment: somewhere to dry my crop of flax after the retting process (at end of video).
The scythe snath is a 'Western' USA, the blade is a NOS 39" riveted Nash (the tang of which I adjusted to suit my purposes) - both of unknown age, but the blade is probably as old as I am!
