Oh man, what a "GEM"!! I was born in 1963 and am currently a Snow Sports Instructor (Alpine Ski and Snowboard). We do things a little differently these days. lol This is now, by far, my favorite ski movie of all time. Thank you so much for sharing this piece of history.
Thanks, great memories . . . In case some watcher laughs at their technique, remind them that, regardless of style, the people we watched from then, were exceptional athletes. They skied parallel without our 21st-century smug skills and "state-of-the-art" gear. Bravo.
Imagine if you were at a ski field today and you saw two people in tights zigzagging down the mountain on tandom skis with a balloon tied behind their backs...
A great ski montage from the 1960’s…. but most (all) of it was from Europe or North America. The skiers themselves are highly skilled, especially with their ancient equipment. The mogul skiers were outstanding! And no helmets…. or fear! ⛷️😎👍
