Hi everyone! I'm so happy to share this **free** makeover of my girls' room:-) If you have questions, be sure to ask in the comments here and check out the blog post linked in the description box:-)
Thank you so much, Anita, for sharing how you transformed this gorgeous room! Using your own things, and family heirlooms, makes the space special. The attention to details, down to the paint technique on the iron bed's details, your choices for pillows, artwork, and velvet draperies, make this room inviting, and enchanting! What beautiful music you chose to use for this video! I enjoyed every minute!
Oh how lovely that room is. It is serene and elegant. You did a wonderful job and that glorious bed! A sweet decorator named Kitty Barthlomew always said .....It's not what you don't have, it's what you do with what you do have. Wonderful advice for these rather lean times. And of course that decor is perfect for displaying family antiques and keepsakes! I love your home and your decor. So warm and inviting. Love and Blessings from Michigan ❤❤
Oh Linda I love that quote, and I sure remember her back when my favorite decorating shows were on☺️☺️ Yes, with prices the way they are, I was so happy to have some things saved to use, and just had that conversation with my mother about how happy I am she kept those things☺️☺️
Looks like everything just grew there! What a pretty room. You are truly gifted, plus thrifty. What a beautiful, feminine and relaxing room. Inspirational!
This room is so pretty! Can you give any information about the portieres? They are gorgeous and I love the fringe on them. The transformation is beautiful!
Any, thank you so much☺️☺️ The portieres were in an old historic building friends owned here, so when they sold the building, I asked if I could have these along with the red set I have in my living room, and thankfully they said yes. Everything was thrown out by the new owners afterward, so I could not be happier to have rescued them!
@@WhisperingPinesHomestead Thank you. I'm so glad you saved them. Every time I hear stories about architectural or antique items being tossed a little piece of my soul dies. Some people have no idea of the history they are destroying. Everything is so cheap and mass produced now we may not have many of these valuable pieces left after a while.
I really love the transformation ❤ and vintage style is my favourite thing🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻. Thank you so much for sharing this 🥰🥰 and I would like to ask you one thing hmm that is which colour I should paint my walls to bring that 90s & 80s vibes because I’m planning to do a makeover to my room 🤗🤗. I wish you will reply to this❤.
Thank you so much! Oh wow that sounds really fun, I’m not sure that what your favorite colors are. I generally tend to find something that will coordinate with a lot of other colors. For 80s - 90s I remember taupe cappuccino colors being big🤔 I would definitely go on Pinterest and just look for 80s aesthetic or 90s aesthetic and see what comes up and then build something based on what you like☺️☺️☺️
Hi. Love your channel. I also have a vintage iron bed. Can u share with me what you used for under mattress? I'm struggling with how to do that.. appreciate any suggestions. Yours is pretty..Thankyou
Thank you so much Carol🙂🙂 I just have a box spring under the mattress and it sits on the frame, which has four 2x4s with notches cut on each end underneath to hold it in place.
