VINTAGE Book + PAPERBACK Pickups - September 2023 - Incredible SF - Penguin - DAW - ASMR, Maybe!
In this video I take a look through my pickups of vintage paperbacks and related items that came my way in August and September 2023 after trips to AllYouNeedIsBooks plus Dorset Bob plus a couple of eBay purchaes.
These all needed cleaning and making good. It took awhile but the results were great and these will make a worthy additions to my collection.

All done, great work Jules 👍🏼 Re you getting back into fitness, I would recommend a personal trainer ? I use one twice a week for fitness training and it’s a game changer imo !

@Markybug-Keira-Cody Hi Mark, I know a personal trainer is fantastic if you can afford it. I used to hit the gym a lot but the swimming is a less impact option. I'm two months in and really enjoying it.🙂

@@JulesBurt The book that I bought was New Worlds SF 168 as it has an interview by Daphne Castell with J.R.R. Tolkien, I think other than this book the interview has only ever appeared in magazines and newspapers, so difficult to find.

Jules, also a very nice group of Compact books, it is rare for them not to have a wavy or warped spine. Wonder why? I think it is because of the cheap glue they use to bind the books, it dries or shrinks and pulls on the cover and spine. It is rare i come across 3:23:31 any without this binding problem. What do you think?

These copies are in exceptionally fine condition. I was lucky to get them from Bob. I think the original glue is pretty awful🙂
