The galaxian arcade game was from 1979 but this coleco handheld version of galaxian is from 1981 not 79. What a great version to have back in the day as a kid though. I remember I wanted one so bad and never got it but I recently just purchased a frogger off of eBay in pristine condition with the box. Makes me feel like a kid again
They are definitely great pieces to have! I would love to find a Frogger one out and about. I have found a few others and some of the smaller handheld systems not as much the table top ones. All neat to have and play though.
This is why I got my Atari 5200 as a kid. I wanted one of these and asked for Galaxian for Christmas. Instead my parents bought a 5200 with a Galaxian cartridge.lol these were mobile gaming back in the day!! Lol I recommend most of the coleco ones. Awesome pickup
I used to own the Coleco Zaxxon tabletop. The game cost my mother 40 bucks as a birthday gift to me in 1984. This tabletop hame was massive. I loved that game and played it every chance I could. The game is worth over 400 bucks in the box mint. Not many of the Zaxxon games were made.
@@GamerAhmer I agree 100%. In 81-82 when I first saw them the retail price was $60-$80. Now they are worth $100+. A company called My Arcade released a similar Galaxian game but the game inside is the Famicom version of the game.
Galaxian was *THE BEST* of the Coleco mini arcades. And you got a helluva deal! I just looked right now on eBay and the cheapest one is going for $65 (plus shipping, of course). 👾
I still have a Donkey Kong from Coleco in mint condition & Frogger In very good condition.Mine were made according to the screen says 1982.Your Galaxian is awesome! My good friend had a Galaxian like yours! I will have to subscribe!
This is the first and only video game we ever owned back in the early to mid 80s . We were only allowed to play it on long road trips while traveling all over England as a lad. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BHeWrdvlbxY.html
I think Angry Video Game Nerd has something very similar to that in his collection. Might be that same game. He has those vintage machines on his shelf behind him if you look closely in his videos. But, anyways, sweet find!
