Hey Jake, I see a lot of hate in these comments. I for one, would just like to say that I am still enjoying your videos and I consider all of these non-jeep topics just a part of the journey. Your personality is what keeps me coming back... please keep doing what you're doing!
This is a response I had to a comment I saw in the comments section, I just wanted to post it as an individual comment, so that those who take issue with the current state of Jakes content can have something to think about. I would like to say this in Jake’s defense. First off, his Jeep the center of the channel, Jade, is currently undergoing an evolution into what will be what continues his journey. I would not be surprised if he were to make a condensed time lapse of the progress they are making in Jade, it may be as a simple as it is taking longer than he thought, or he believes it would be better left to one video. No one really knows until Jake comes out and says his plans. Remember this is his channel, and thus he is in total control of the output of content. While I will concede that he could read the comments and see that people are asking for Jade content, I must direct you back to what I said above. Currently we are getting the content we are getting because of the work being done on Jade, there is nothing he can really do in the interim. If you don’t like the content he is currently making then just check back in when the content you have come to appreciate from him has returned and it will be service as usual. Currently he has just decided to put some videos up, no matter it’s correlation to the over arching trip, most likely because he wants to make sure people are still checking in on the channel and so that the people who enjoy his content no matter what it may be will have something to enjoy. Second off, the channel is still centered around him and Jade, but as mentioned above currently there is just nothing he can do to make the process of getting Jade the way he wants it any faster. He needs to take the time to get the job done right, rushing it won’t do anything but generate problems in the future. I can also see from your comments above that you seem to be frustrated with the change in the way in which he presents his videos. That is simply just the transformation of his tastes in the way he creates his content and how he feels, there is nothing that you can really do to change that. And finally, I would like to state that he continues to thank his patrons because they are truly what allows him to continue to provide us with content as we continue through this interim until he can return on his journey. I saw you said something along the lines of you can’t believe he still gets patrons, that is because there are people out there who care a lot about him and his journey and what to help him to continue on said journey. I have seen a lot of comments similar to yours, while nothing is wrong with being frustrated with the way the content is being created, you must be considerate and understanding of his situation. I know this has been a long response, but this is simply my view on the current state of his channel, and a attempt at trying to bring a answer to some of your frustrations. All I can say is that if you truly want to see him continue on his journey, you might want to consider the fact that watching his videos and continuing to support him are the best ways that you can help him if you don’t want to financially support him. And if you still don’t feel like you can sit through this content, then like I said above, just wait until he starts posting content that you like. Have a nice day, hope I helped. i have an old dirt bike i bought to try and learn to ride on years ago, but work got in the way. im about to try and rebuild it now and never even thought about doing this. i love the way it looks, and would be much easier than trying to find parts for an old 88kx.

I'm wondering how long it's going to be before we see progress on Jade? I know there have been events which have made things difficult to work on Jade but I'm just wondering. Anxious to See posts and video clips and even some short videos or the build. I miss the Jade, Annie and Jake adventures and now to be added Kinzie and the other two dog.
Just scored a klx125 with a street legal title and a 1973 honda xl100s that I took the headlight mount, Tank and fenders off to do the same deal.. I dig it.
Great bike and the Ford is an oldie but goodie. I have a 99 Taurus "low miles" and use it for a work car. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I wish they still made them like that. As always nice to see Ben make an appearance and of course Kinsey. Wow, the lake really dropped that much! Time to get Jade out of the shop!
I’m torn between the intro/outro he has now, and the one he was using in the earlier part of the trip. I liked the “adventures of Jake, jade, and Annie” and the establishing shot of where he was.
My dirt dirtbike i got like 2 or 3 years ago. My brother bought it for 90 bucks. Never got around it it so i bought it off him for 110 bucks and turns out it needed like practically everything. Top end, needs all new cables but all i changed is the front brake cable. Also needed a carb rebuild but couldn't buy the part i needed so i got a new one for my b day and she runs again. 1980s plastic gastank keeps cracking after you patch it so i am putting some random honda tank from the 70s. By the way my bike is a 1980 Suzuki pe175 2 stroke. Clutch is goofy too but i have all the parts to replace it if it goes.
So when you modify a bike or Jeep, isn't the ultimate goal is to make it better? That TTR was way cool as it was, then you destroyed it. This was a great trip and I'm glad you got another video up. Look forward to Jade build videos.

After the past couple of videos, it is safe to say that this guy does not even take the time to read the comments. If he did, he would know what his viewers are asking for. This channel's theme was centered around him and his Jeep. He later decided to make videos on the evolution of Jade, and now, he just expects all of us to forget all about the Jeep adventures? You got too many things to deal with. Forget Jade, forget the ford, forget the cherokee. You should've kept the bike stock and invest the time and money in something else, like going on the road. Get a van, 4x4 preferably, long wheel base, get a rack, get a back/side ladder, get some solar panels, get some basic shelves and a 14$ walmart air mattress and I guarantee you'll be doing much better than now, juggling with 3 old cars, 1 old camper, 1 bike, 3 dogs and a girl.
banzay1 He did say something, and you seem to forget everyone has an opinion, you have yours and he has his, I would also suggest that you find another channel if this is the type of content you want. I mean I can’t speak for Jake but right now that doesn’t like its going to happen.

banzay1 He didn’t disrespect your opinion as much as bluntly stating you might be better looking for another channel. Wasn’t looking to convey anger or frustration in my original post, and I don’t think he was either.
