#survival #bushcraft #militarysurplus IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A PACK FOR DAY CAMPS, I SETTLED FOR THIS EAST GERMAN COMBAT PACK. LETS TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT IT..
Very detailed well explained vid. Do like the vintage gear great to collect and use and find out about the history . Thanks for taking the time to film. Keep up the good work. All the best Pete
Brent0331 is the RU-vidr who tests out all of the camo patterns. When he tested NVA rain pattern, I thought it did very well in both winter and summer. From a distance, the little brown lines don’t really do anything to disrupt the pattern, but the combination of olive and brown just match the color of the forest well. American OG 107 (olive drab uniforms of the Vietnam era) seems to have a blueish gray quality that doesn’t look natural. Rain pattern blends in perfectly all year round. I wish someone would make new clothing and equipment in that pattern.
SERVUS Lee, thanks for sharing! Nice to see someone is interested in this kind of old stuff. Have you stick your nose into the Swiss Alpenflagge camo gear? In my opinion the jacket with kinda integradet PLCE system might be interesting for ya too. It´s not expensive and fun to test out whats the capabilities with it. Torsten
I'm rocking the same admin brother - slightly different IFAK cause I do FA for work and fire prevention. I just got another assortments pack from preppers uk with brew tackle etc. I like a well packed brew kit. I put a water purification kit in all my bag systems. I have some Dutch kit and a French Mess kit, but I don't use much passed my main kit - same HL bag as you've been using. Diolch.
Great review! I'd like one of those, but I have too many backpacks/haversacks as is. I have a Savotta LJK 202, Czech M60 backpack, Romanian haversack, veshmeshok, British (and Canadian) gas mask bags.
@@outsidertank No worries enjoy. They are awesome. You can use them for so much,,,,,, Poncho Tarp Water proof Blanket Hammock (if you are short) Hammock Chair Bivi bag Stuff it with leaves for a mattress. Wrap it round you in front of the fire. Put it round you in a seating position with a lantern or candle under it between your feet for emergency warmth (Russian style). They do no single thing great but everything in an emergency.
