Zero Fan Restoration. 1950s
This is literally my first video and my first time restoring a fan. I’ve made lot of mistakes but as I continued, I learned more. I’ll put a link to another fan that I restored recently. This one I think I did much better. I generally don’t restore fan. But I did these 3 for my friends. Thanks for watching.

By the way one more thing. When you add that leather looking washer in the coil, make sure to add some oil to it. It will observe the oil and makes it smoother when running. Later I found out about it. Good luck to your reassembly.

I was really surprised at how small the rotor is!

Yes, very small and basic, but very effective though. Thank you.,

Hi. First I’d like to thank you for watching my video. I really appreciate it. I watched your videos( both of them ). Well done, the motor was running very smoothly. I like the no paint idea, just watch out cause it might get rusty again soon. They have very thin body. This video was my first fan restoration project. Im more satisfied with my new fan restoration. Thanks again for watching and good job on the fan restoration.

Is it meant to be making that Nanking sound when it’s on?

I tightened it , it got much better. But I think I must’ve put too much pressure on to the center of the fan.

You soaked the motor in water???
@VintageCraftsmanTools

Hi. Yes but for a very short amount of time. I do that with some of the motors that I work with, if they’re dirty of course. The wirings are usually sealed and won’t make any problem. Later on, I use air duster to dry it out. So far they’ve been working fine. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Sorry for my very late response. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find one so far, and the ones that I find online are crazy expensive for their current conditions and not worth purchasing. But I’m still looking. I had 4 different ones, so I ended up giving them away as a gift.

Nice but you mounted it on backward to the base. The mounting hole is to be in the back.

You must have had one, or good eyes. Thank you for telling me. Later on I fixed it.
