Your video was helped put me at ease. For a second I thought I bought a KO from my LCS that fooled me and the store, but no the lack of paint apps, the stark white legs and the lack of windows were all a part of the original run. Thanks.
I just picked up this guy (Cab only) from an antique store for £4 after some cleaning up I'm already loving it. Seriously fascinating to see how far they have come but this figure still holds up
Mine arrived today. It's missing a small fist, both side cannons, a few stickers, and his left leg won't stay in place in vehicle mode. It's still a super cool looking toy. Found him for $79 usd on Etsy. Really good condition, considering its age!
@KoolKollectibles I prefer a bit of wear on my vintage toys. I think worn stickers look pretty cool. Reminds me that these toys have a history of previous owners, survived for almost 40 years, and are now being displayed in my collection. These figures have had quite the journey!
Holy ravioli. I was typing Ultra Magnus in random, hoping to find cartoon animations, but I come to found this channel. I used to have one similar to this when I was a kid living in the UK. My mom bought this from a toy store in the year 1985 or something. Damn, I cant believe this, back then I would play with this, like the whole day. 👍
Mine was even worse, had even less paint. Ultra Magnus's head was all blue, and the smoke stacks on Magnus were also white. It also looks like yours has plastic window, mine had none.
i got his trailer at a flea market (rubber wheels) for 10 bucks in October for 10 then a few days ago on ebay i picked up a lot of his parts and cab however it was the plastic wheels but i dont care and i still like him anyways so my g1 magnus is unique ig lol
Yeah the all-in-one transformation of MP-22 is cartoon accurate and is awesome toy engineering. I'm happy that Takara did it that way. Thanks for checking out my thoughts on the vintage toy!
