Forgot to add that if you need your figures restrung (1964 or Muscle Body) or your Talking Mechanism repaired, contact Scott Wilde at majwildeman@hotmail.com. I've known Scott since the mid-90's and he's been our GO TO guy for all figure repairs. For head reflocking, you can't go wrong with Flock Concepts at flockconcepts@live.com. Ray does all our Elite Brigade head flocking (fuzzy heads as we call them) and he does all our vintage head reflocking.

It,s good to see a video review of collectors who are very knowledgeable in what they collect. I collect and always want to learn more. Wish Hasbro would reveal more information.

Also, the difference between the US and Euro Muscle body figures (including the Canadian) is in the torso. On the US figure, the shoulder socket hole on the inside is smooth while the European one has 2 blocks on either side of the inside of the socket hole, which makes it harder to use a rejoint kit unless you grind the block flush with a dremel tool to accept the joint piece (I've had to do this to several of my European Polistil, Ceji and Action Team Schildkrot figures when restoring them). Also, the US torso is connected to the legs via a rubber ring, while the Euro version uses a disc that sits in the pelvis (the speedo if you will) and the disc locks into a groove inside the torso. So trying to pair a Euro torso with American legs or vice versa would be very hard to do. It can be done, but takes extensive "modding" to do so. Just a little FYI for you guys. Thanks for the video!!

Really loving this series, great companion to all the guidebooks out there. Would love to see you guys do an episode about the vintage female figures that Hasbro released in various European countries, connections to the nurse, etc. whatever you guys do, I’ll be watching

Muscle body talking MOAs had the same talk box as the MB Commanders.

Scott Wilde who fixes LOTS of talkers has told me he frequently finds muscle body talkers with the original adventure team sayings. I’m guessing they used up the old ones before they went to the “all for one and one for all”

That Ace guy seems pretty competent. They skipped the eagle eyed goes however.

We actually do discuss the Eagle Eye heads and mechanism in the Action Man Bodies RU-vid video, but good catch!

I've known Ace for over 20 years and he has one of the most comprehensive vintage GI Joe Collections out there. However, he readily admits that he's know expert, and always makes a point to say that he welcomes input on the videos we make of them. What's funny was this was our 2nd take on doing these videos, for the first go round, we over looked a lot of figures. On this video, we showed the Eagle Eye Joe, even though he was right there, but we do address the Eagle Eye history with the Action Man segment, since it was Palitoy who created that feature. 🙂

Hey guys, got a question for you. Did Hasbro make a 12 inch Joe for the 50th anniversary? If they didn't, that kinda hurts my heart.
@AceAllgood

Nope- and I agree!

Really interesting and informative video! I also have a question: Aren't the heads on the muscle body figures slightly smaller and made of a harder soft plastic? Even a slightly darker complexion on the Caucasian figures?
@AceAllgood
@AceAllgood 10 месяцев назад
You are correct - they are slightly smaller( I’m not 100% sure if that was intentional or the plastic shrank a bit) but they are definitely darker or “more tan” to match the body color. Now- did they put other heads on the figures…? Probably.
@andy-in-indy

I have a question: In a set of muscle body pieces I got, one of the speedos is a softer, rubbery material, and looked like the pants of the figure farthest to "stage right" (i.e. not the talker, but still a muscle body). What's the scoop on squishy but Joe's?
@StealthMockingbird
@StealthMockingbird 11 месяцев назад
I had a Bullet Man with the rubber trunks. There's little to no info I've been able to find about them.
@cotswoldcollectiblesllc
@cotswoldcollectiblesllc 11 месяцев назад
Someone else feel free to chime in here, but I think that they all had the blue rubber stile skivvies, but with time, some of the skivvies turned into a harder plastic...
@StealthMockingbird
@StealthMockingbird 11 месяцев назад
@@cotswoldcollectiblesllc No. There are definitely 2 versions. I have my original EELC from Easter 1975. It has always had hard trunks.
@cotswoldcollectiblesllc
@cotswoldcollectiblesllc 11 месяцев назад
@@StealthMockingbird - noted. My guess would then be different factories or different runs. Anyone else have input on this. We're all learning here. 🙂
@AceAllgood
@AceAllgood 10 месяцев назад
I’m guessing a different formula on the plastic- I’ve seen some that are hard and some more rubbery
@notadocmain

I have a question on the website you guys have why can’t I find the left classic hand?
@cotswoldcollectiblesllc
@cotswoldcollectiblesllc 11 месяцев назад
Funny you should ask that. The reason we have so many right hands (AA as well) and no single left hands, is we used to sell an Elite Figure with right saluting hand and standard hand (either classic or action), thus creating a surplus of right hands. Because of this, we discontinued the saluting figure (you should see how many right hands we have), and offer the figrue with either all classic hands or all action hands, and the saluting hands as a standalone SKU. Now as to where are the Classic and Action Hands (pairs), they recently sold out and we have more enroute from the factory (in addition to more Elite Bodies). :-)

@@cotswoldcollectiblesllc I know this is a late reply but thank you for taking time out of your day to answer my question. I really do appreciate it.
