...This style suits her so perfectly... and she explains it so well. I love watching her Channel, and I am 66 years young....It reminds me of my Aunts and how they did their hair, and how much detail and effort went into looking put together.

I remember my granny putting my hair up as a little kid back in the 60's and having to sleep with bobby pins in. I hated it, but I did love having the curly hair.

Just beautiful. Lana Turner was one of my favorite actresses of that era. Also, would you consider doing a Betty Page makeover. For me, she was the epitome of 40's-50's style.

For the back of the hair a bufton style hairnet helps to keep the curls neat and in place, I wear a hairnet every day. For the bang I also use a hairnet, but a bun size hairnet and a hair rat cut from a bun donut. roll take the bang and put it into a ponytail roll the hair rat under the hair place the hairnet over the hair and pin in place. :)

You have super gorgeous hair. I so wish I could style my hair as well as this. I'm currently trying to master foam rollers but I find pin curls SO hard to do! 😦 they're so fiddly and never stay together when I try. Determined to persevere though as it looks so good when done correctly! Xx

I’m amazed those curls turn out so well and stay all day in your hair. I usually lose my curls within 5 mins even with a lot of very strong hairspray. So I can’t be bothered anymore. Unfortunately...

I either roll up my hair close to my head and tie a head scarf around it, or leave it out so the curls the next day are more relaxed! 😊

What did the women do when their hair did not hold a curl? I haven’t tried this yet I am excited to but normally my hair won’t hold curls but for an hour then it’s all dropped down
