Vintage Hoover 1354A Junior Dirtsearcher vacuum cleaner - Performance Testing - Will it break? 

I am highly impressed with this 54 year old machine! Woah 🎉 STANDING APPLAUSE 👏🏼 Yes, it left debris behind some but that is expected. I like the way this machine sounds, it’s lovely. Honestly, I think I like this better than my Oreck Commercial XL. I enjoyed watching this video. The agitation speaks for itself 😁

You must love hoovering. We used to have the exact same hoover. Would love to get my hands on another one.

Superb vacuum cleaner the Hoover Junior

Amazing performance! This puts many modern vacuums to shame, with one exception. These really don't like rice type particles. It has fan opening high in the brushroll chamber and that (I believe) is cause of that. Fun fact: James Dyson used Junior to experience his first cyclone tests. I saw pictures of it and it was just like Dust Deputy Cyclone sold today :D

At first I thought you weren't going to do a full mess test because it is 50 years old. I should have known better 😄😄 The hoover did well, considering its age, especially when the bag was empty. The agitation was great too. I think it did better that the Eureka powerspeed's test. Great video 🤩

So I read that James Dyson used one of these for his cyclone. What I do not get my head around is how I’m earth could a cyclone work on one of these if the air is being pushed up into the bag and not sucked into it? Can a cyclone work that way?

My mom Hoover was a newer version of bagged vacuum Even though you had to be careful and inspect the floor before you vacuumed I loved it You could see everything jumping in the carpet and feel the vibration in the floor when you vacuumed It was a heavy self propelled vacuum Me and my mom and a bread bag twistie tie led to it’s demise I was vacuuming for my mom and I stopped vacuuming because it started to sound funny After I left mom finished vacuuming anyway The tie got stuck in the level control lever mechanism and it burnt out the motor She replaced the vacuum with a cheap dirt devil and it was loud enough to wake the dead I borrowed it for a couple of weeks when I didn’t have a vacuum to use and I couldn’t use it It terrified the cats and made all the neighbors dogs start barking That’s one way to find out how many dogs are in the neighborhood When I finally got a vacuum The shark duo clean After not vacuuming for 2-3 weeks I had to dump the bin so many times and it took a few days to vacuum the whole front room I had 7 cats so I’m really amazed how well the vacuum did and how much fine dust it got out of the carpet once the carpet of cat hair was mostly gone I was amazed that it didn’t get clogged even once So sorry so long winded I thought you might find it interesting
