I enjoyed watching your haul. I adore the vintage daisy tablecloth and napkin set. I am also quite jealous that you've found a copy of The Flower Fairy Alphabet book. Those were absolutely treasures! It must be very nice to have a husband who understands your love for vintage books and enjoys treasure hunting/thrifting with you! What joy!
I am jealous again. You have the best thrift stores in the Netherlands. I love all that you have. Tha flower fairy book you got was in 1934 and is worth abought $100.00 depend on the condition it is in. Can hardly wait to see what you have in store for us on your channel. See you next year. HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR. Thank you for sharing and God Bless.

What a terrific hoard of treasures!! I enjoy getting the sealed bags of cards too. The surprise of opening them is fun , especially if they don't cost much! The Flower Fairies book is such a treasure!!! 🥰🥰🥰
What I found about your fairy book. A Flower Fairy Alphabet, Cicely Mary Barker. This beautiful, rare old book was printed in 1935 and it is a first edition, published by Blackie and Son Limited. Both the poems and words were created by Cicely Mary Barker, the book is an A-Z of flower fairy illustrations accompanied with flower poems.
All I can say is Wow!! This is incredible. I love all of this. I sure wish my thrift stores had these wonderful treasures. You definitely have some great taste and you have really taught your husband well. Good job you.
Your husband is amazing and so supportive! You are a lucky lucky woman to have a husband who supports your hobbies and actually helps you find things he thinks you would think of as treasures even if they are maybe something he, himself would have no real interest in. Especially if you have a lot of "stuff" also stored in your attic.
I enjoyed your haul very much. Helped me to realize more of what I can use for my junk journals for less cost. With yje stretchy fabric, you can buy iron on interfacing that will prevent the fabric from stretching and that would work well for journal covers. I have picked it up thrifting but I know what I am looking for. It can be bought at fabric stores if you want to buy some to try first, then you will know what it looks like when thrifting. There are also diferent weights of this interfacing and there is also a sew in version. You would need the iron on though. I hope this helps. The magazine holder is made from Rat-tan. I love the holder. I have a rattan stand with 3 rattan pockets , from top to bottom of stand, to hold magazines. It was painted black and I wanted to bring it back to natural but it's a lot of hard work, so it's still black. I hope you don't mind me helping you with your English. I love love love all your books too.
Morning Margareth, love, love your treasure trove. The books are awesome, love the old song books, so cute. You have a wonderful treasure trove and I want to go and treasure hunt with you and your hubby. Love the tea card books and, well, all of them really. 😄😍 I want to wish you, your husband and the rest of your family a wonderful 2023, may it be an awesome one, filled with many more treasure hunting finds, may it be filled with lots of laughter, love and all the special moments that make wonderful memories. Have a healthy, Peacerful and Blessed year. Many Blessings and hugs, from Cape Town, as always. Diana 😊🦊🦊🥂🥂
Love your thrifty finds. For the stretchy fabric, if you back it with cotton, it will be a lot less stretchy and better to make a journal cover with. TFS!
I have a couple of the Barker books. I absolutely love them. I was treasure hunting today also. I found 2 round punches, 2 inch and 2 1/2 inch...making some round labels. Love your videos.
You are such a delight! I'm a devoted thrifter, and am envious of your access to totally different materials from here in the USA! What great treasures! *SIGH* Thanks for sharing ☺️
Love your enthusiasm over your great thrifty finds. Sometimes the shopping/hunt is just as fun if not more than the actual crafting. 😂. Happy new year to you and yours. 🎉
Wonderful haul! You could probably use a stabilizer on that knit fabric to make it easier to work with. I use stabilizer on the tee shirt quilts when I make them ❤️❤️❤️😊. Happy New year
I have one of the little fairy books in an Address book form... same author, same Fairies... and yes, Ive already dug into it... :)) This was lovely haul Margret, Thanks for sharing!! We have the exact same kind of thrift store, in that they pkg everything up, especially the sewing notions, for a few cents each, Love it, so many treasures!!
Always enjoy your vintage treasure hunts 😊I so wish we had items like these where I live. I guess I’ll have to try some treasure hunting myself 😊 Happy New Year 🎉
I always enjoy watching your fabulous treasure finds! So much is worth keeping an eye out for or at least some thing like it. Though I will probably never find any of these as cheap! The book that is very long and green, do you have name and the author? Thanks for sharing your amazing haul!! 🤗❤️ Tamara
This was a fun video! I found a web site (sometime ago) featuring all the images of this book (the flower fairies alphabet) so I think you will find quite a bit on the book... Unrelated but might be a fun fact for you... the Dr. Oetker brand is still in use in Brazil, and of course very trusted...their logo is the same as it was in my childhood :-0
