I miss collecting this action figure ! I wish Hasbro could nostalgically "rebuild" him again for a new generation of fans, and collectors, like me, who remember watching the TV series on ABC back in the '70's !
I purchased a SMDM in the box many yrs back 20$ and next to him was the SMDM Repair Station w box again 20$ in a indoor flea market just a few block from where I live ,I still have them. It started me on a Bionic hunting rampage buying a lot of Bionic Woman ,Bigfoot, Venus Space Probe ,Maskatron ,Fembot ,play sets I mean a lot lol. But two yrs back I parted w everything except Steve and the Repair Station because I finally realized them two items meant the most to me that’s the two items I received for Christmas back in the 70’s.
Cool memories. Yeah the figure and the Repair Station is what I had as a kid too. That's more than sufficient to have cool bionic adventures really. I would like to have Maskatron though. That seems like an awesome figure with all those different masked identities you could snap on..never had it but have seen it on youtube. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I still have my figure from 1975. I kept it for sentimental reasons. My mom bought it for me for my 9th birthday. She passed away when I was 13. SMDM was my favourite TV show when I was a kid.
@@mark_beastpriest5539 Sorry about your mom ,I think the SMDM and the BIONIC WOMAN are lot of us young ones back then TV shows were outstanding back in them days.
Great video. I own 2 Steve Austin dolls. 1 with the engine block and the 2nd doll with the orange girder. They are both my pride and joy . I also have all 5 seasons of the Six million dollar man on dvd.
Still remember mine in 78. Loved it. Just beautiful though. Would've loved a tour of behind the scenes of the slow motion effects department. Great video.
Nice! I too had one of those toys. There was another kid in the store who intended to buy it, but my father had already purchased it for me. I recall feeling almost guilty for getting the last one in stock and apologizing to the other boy.
Lee Majors got shafted when they used his likeness on the figure. He never received royalties for it. It wasn't until recent years that he finally received payment.
He was so cool with the briefcase documents geez I regret to have trade it. I almost had one last february I paid for it on market place but it was a scam and lost 150$
Steve Austin was told it was a blowout so he got out to get the spare out of the trunk unfortunately he was in a jet. That's why his parts were originally used on a dog they figured if the dog could adapt Steve might be able to figure them out.
