Awesome video! I honestly feel like the cars back then had much more character and racing was much more fun than these days. If I had a local track that offered vintage class, I’d be all over it. This was the best time for RC
True! It took a lot of skill to set them up and drive them. Now- you can take a car out of the box that'll lap these old cars easily. Just like with real cars, it's more fun to drive a slow and wonky handling car at the limit than a supercar at 40% of its limit.
Thanks for the upload. I remember me and my friends watching this in the hobby store back in the 80s dreaming of the cars that we wanted. And that awesome music track. Brings back a lot of memories. Thanks 😊
I'm glad you like it. Stay with it and check out my channel every now and then, there will be another kyosho video from this time in the next few weeks, I have to edit it a bit beforehand.
@@goldenmanuever1176 At the time, these VHS cassettes were only given to model shops and were not freely available. I was able to acquire some from a business resolution, and another video about Kyosho Vintage is coming soon.
Wow lovely to see how many nice models they had in the past from sailing boots to heli and airplanes, also the cars where really really nice. Compared to today there are not really big changes until the battery technology 👌🏻👍🏻.
I have a lot of Tamiya and Kyosho cars and trucks from this time period, and will make some videos in the coming month or so. It was such an interesting era. Racing those cars was far more exciting- they really needed a lot of tuning to handle different tracks and without having massive brushless modern power, you had to rely on your skills to compete. It wasn't point and shoot with the rocketships they call cars now.
